Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim's love story is no less than a fairy tale. They met on the sets of popular TV show Sasural Simar Ka and eventually fell in love. Ever since they have been inseparable. Dipika and Shoaib’s love story started way back when they met on the sets of TV show Sasural Simar Ka in 2011. The two played the characters of husband and wife in the show and won many hearts with their adorable chemistry. However, Dipika was married to Raunak Mehta back then and had a troubled marriage. In 2015, Dipika parted ways with Raunak after a very bitter divorce. Later, Dipika found a companion in Shoaib and they took their friendship to the next level.

Right after Dipika’s divorce from previous partner, there were reports of her dating Shoaib Ibrahim. While many rooted for their relationship, others even trolled them for their bond. However, they didn’t confirm any detail until 2016.

After several rumours and assumptions, Shoaib and Dipika made their relationship official in 2016. In an exclusive interview with ETimes TV, the actress spoke about the relationship and confirmed that Shoaib wasn’t a reason for her divorce with previous partner. She mentioned, “It’s not mandatory that every love marriage should work; it can have its issues like compatibility too. Breaking off any relationship is difficult, almost traumatic. That’s exactly what happened with me. My parents supported me and Shoaib helped me pull through those difficult times. We were not dating then.”

Shoaib and Dipika faced negative comments and trolls for their relationship. At first the netizens weren’t quite accepting of their inter-religion relationship. They often faced trolling on social media. Dipika and Shoaib addressed the same several times in their YouTube vlogs.

After dating for a couple years, they got married in 2018. They exchanged vows in a private nikah ceremony in Bhopal. They even mentioned in their YouTube vlog that they wanted to host a lavish wedding in Jaipur but had to drop the plan as their families wanted them to get married as soon as possible. The couple painted the town red with their dreamy love story and got married in an intimate ceremony in the presence of their close ones.

Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim announced their pregnancy on January 22 this year. In their YouTube vlog, the duo shared that they were initially hesitant to share the news as Dipika went through a miscarriage in February 2022. Talking about the same Shoaib said, “Many of you don’t know that last year in February, she suffered a miscarriage in the 6th week of pregnancy.” Dipika quipped, “Because of that we were a bit scared this time and I am sure all of you would understand that. It’s not just us, many go through this.”

Dipika and Shoaib welcomed a baby boy on July 21, who they named Ruhaan. The couple are enjoying every bit of their parental journey and never fail to talk about the same in the YouTube vlogs. While sharing the news of their pregnancy, Shoaib wrote, “Alhamdulillah today 21st June 2023 early morning, we are blessed with a baby boy. It's a premature delivery, nothing much to worry [about].
