In life, there are ups and downs, but in 2023, two best things happened to me. Firstly, I am on this stage, and secondly, my son Ruhaan was born on June 21, 2023. In November 2022, Dipika sent me a photo indicating that we were going to be parents, but I didn't feel it so much then. Perhaps, during pregnancy, a father doesn't feel as much, but when Ruhaan was born and he spent 20 days in the NICU, and when I held him in my arms after 20 days, you wouldn't believe it, I forgot all the joys and sorrows of my life, and I just keep looking at him, playing with him. Now I understand that a father is someone who forgets himself and does everything for his children. Now, I feel that whatever I have to do in life, it's just to make Ruhaan feel proud of me as his father. And I can give him all the happiness. (Photo: Instagram)

Talking about their marriage, Dipika said that earlier, he was romantic, but he did not show it and would say he didn’t know how to express himself. Recently, it was our anniversary, and he was shooting, so I wasn't expecting anything. When he came back, he got me a set of nice diamond earrings. But what surprised me the most was that he had started writing. I have been writing since he came into my life, but now he has started writing to impress me. It was very special for me. The most special thing was when I was away for three months, he had kept a diary detailing everything. Those diaries are still with me. When I came back, the gift I got from him was those two diaries where he had written in detail about everything he did every day, whom he met, and how much he missed me. Shoaib shared the significance of acting in his life, recounting his experiences of attending auditions in Bhopal. He revealed that despite facing numerous fake audition scams, he eventually received a genuine opportunity that led him to Mumbai. He said, “Bhopal me main roz auditions dene jaata tha. Bauth saare fake auditions dete dete, ek real audition se call aaya. Vo logo ne muje bola ki 10 din baad aana but Humare pass flight ke ticket ke paise nahi the, hum train se gaye. Mumbai aate hi laga ye hai sapno ki nagri. (I used to give auditions every single day in Bhopal, but after giving many fake auditions, I finally got a real one. They told me that they will call me after 10 days. We couldn’t afford flight tickets, so we went by train. After reaching here I realised what a dreamland looks like.)" (Photo: Instagram)

Saba expressed that when their father's health declined, Shoaib stepped up to take on all the responsibilities in the household. Dipika got nostalgic during the Shaadi special episode and talked about their wedding and reminisced about the beautiful moments they shared during their wedding ceremony. Dipika shared, “During the wedding ceremony, it literally felt like a dream come true for me. We had our wedding in Maudaha, which is Shoaib’s village. Our wedding baarat went through the same streets from where Ammi and Papa’s baarat had gone. The whole experience was so traditional and desi. Our journey started with the entire family travelling together on a train. It was a lot of fun. We didn’t have a typical pre-wedding shoot, so after reaching the village, we went to the fields and started recreating scenes from 'DDLJ.” (Photo: Instagram)
