I patiently wait for this auspicious occasion every year. From attending Pandal darshan to relishing delicious modaks, dancing during the agman to getting emotional during the visarjan. Ganesh Chaturthi is very close to my heart. And I have always looked forward to it since I was a little girl. Growing up and to date, I always look forward to Ganesh Chaturthi. Welcoming Bappa with so much love and relishing delicious modaks has to be my favourite thing. I have been celebrating Ganpati for the last ten years ever since I shifted to Mumbai because in Jamshedpur normally people celebrate Durga Puja, Kaali Puja, and Laxmi Puja. When I came to Mumbai I realised the Ganpati celebration is so so big in the city and I was very happy that finally, we had Ganpati at our place it's like ten years back and ever since then we have been having Ganpati at home and the last couple of years I have been doing eco-friendly Ganpati and now I am making Ganpati myself. I think it's very important to celebrate eco-friendly Ganesh Utsav and not just Ganesh pooja I feel all the festivals that we celebrate you know be it Durga Puja, Kaali Puja, Laxmi Puja you know we have so many celebrations in India. I think it's time that whoever can shift to eco-friendly idols instead of getting something that pollutes our environment.

Ganesh Chaturthi always brings a different kind of enthusiasm and fervour with it, and I love everything about this festival, from the creative people, who bring out the grand pandals, to the entire city that is lit and filled with music. The mouthwatering sweets and the family aartis everything brings utmost joy and peace. I visit all the nearby pandals with my friends every Ganesh Chaturthi and this year will be no different. I will also be celebrating it with my reel family of Wagle Ki Duniya and I am looking forward to it. May Lord Ganesha remove all obstacles in our lives, provide us with auspicious beginnings, inspire us with creativity, and bless us with wisdom. A very Happy Ganesh Chaturthi!

I come from a middle-class family with an army background. My parents have always been religious, so Pujas have always been a part of our lives and we always start with Ganpati puja. We don’t bring Ganeshji’s murti home especially during Ganesh Chaturthi but we do have Ganpati idols in the Devghar. Our daily program during Ganpati would be visiting all the pandals wherever my father would be posted. I have a collection of Ganpati's, one of which Lataji, who was a big fan of one of my shows, gifted to me. Many of my friends have also gifted my Ganpati idols, so my collection has grown rather large, and I cherish each of these gifts.”

This Ganesh Chaturthi I earnestly pray for the good health of all my loved ones. The past year has been tough on us, and I hope we never have to ever face anything like that in future. Be it preparing and gorging on delicious modaks or celebrating the blessed day with my family, Ganesh Chaturthi has always held a special place in my life. My favourite Ganesh Chaturthi memory from childhood was visiting all the Ganesh Pandals in our locality and visiting a friend's house who had Ganesh Ji at home. Those 11 days would be a lot of fun. During Ganesh Chaturthi, there was a large ground near my house where a fair would be set up during Ganpati, so my father would take me and my siblings there to have fun. We celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi at home by performing an early morning pooja and Aarti and making typical Ukadiche Modak (steamed Modak ) on the first day of Naivaidya.
