From Rakhi Sawant-Adil Khan to Dalljiet Kaur-Shalin Bhanot: Times when celebs accused their husbands of domestic violence

TV celebrities are frequently embroiled in scandals, but these stars were charged with domestic violence by their wives. Their marriages were torn apart as a result of these charges. Recently, Rakhi Sawant has been in the limelight for accusing her husband Adil Khan Durrani of cheating on her and torturing her with domestic violence. Rakhi has also filed a case against Adil.

Rakhi Sawant filed a case of cheating and domestic violence against her husband Adil Khan Durrani. Rakhi also revealed that Adil has also taken her money for some project and hasn’t returned it yet. Rakhi also said that Adil took their private pictures and sent them to his friends without her consent. Adil is currently in police custody and he will be questioned with regard to allegations by Rakhi.

Shalin Bhanot, Bigg Boss 16 finalist, was accused of domestic violence by his then-wife Dalljiet Kaur. Dalljiet alleged dowry harassment and assault at first. She later filed attempted murder charges as well. Shalin and Dalljiet are divorced but maintain a friendly connection. Dalljiet recently got engaged to Nikhil Patel and is all set to marry next month.

Actress Nisha Rawal had filed a domestic abuse charge against her estranged spouse Karan Mehra. Nisha also claimed that Karan had slapped her, hit her on the head and blamed him for having an adulterous affair. In the show 'Lock Upp,' she also talked about it. Karan has also stated that Nisha had an affair with her rakhi brother.

Nandish and Rashami married in a love marriage after their show Uttaran. However, things took a turn for the worst when the separated couple filed for divorce based on mutual consent. Rashami spoke openly about her abusive relationship with Nandish in an interview. As a result of an incident on the third day of "Nach Baliye," Rashami decided she wanted to leave this relationship. Rashami shared that, despite her genuine feelings for Nandish and her wish for their wedding to be beautiful, Nandish had transformed everything into something repulsive. Rashami admitted that she can no longer trust anyone.

Rahul Mahajan got hitched to Dimpy Ganguly on his tv show 'Rahul ka Swayamwar,' however, the marriage did not continue as Dimpy departed Rahul's Worli home following a severe assault. Photos of her damaged hands and shin went viral. Rahul, she claimed, had beaten her. During another fight, she said Rahul brandished a gun at her. The couple is now divorced. Both are now happily married to their respective partners.

Deepshika Nagpal filed for divorce when her relationship with her husband, model Kaishav Arora, soured. Deepshikha filed for divorce in May of 2019, but she chose not to rush the process in the hopes that they'd work things out. She pursued the litigation but did not drop the petition when circumstances became too bad. She had wanted to maintain a positive relationship with her ex-husband, but when Kaishav came over to her home while she was away to retrieve his stuff, things became tense. The source reported that “After coming home, she requested him to leave, but he started assaulting her in front of her son and demonstrated his violent behaviour instead."

Vaishnavi Dhanraj, a C.I.D actor, filed for divorce after facing domestic abuse from her spouse, Nitin Sehrawat. Vaishnavi had told the Times of India that she had gone to great lengths to facilitate their marriage. "When nothing else worked, I took the dramatic step of filing for divorce as a last resort. Domestic violence was the leading cause. We could have worked it out, but the physical abuse drove us apart," she said.

Shweta Tiwari, a TV actress, was once married to Raja Chaudhary but divorced him after facing physical abuse and domestic abuse. Palak, the couple's daughter, is now also an actor. She wedded Abhinav Kohli after divorcing Raja, but they divorced soon after due to allegations of mental abuse.

Vahbiz Dorabjee and Vivian Dsena decided to part ways in 2017 but they were legally divorced in 2021. There were reports that Vahbiz Dorabjee had accused Vivian of domestic violence but nothing came of that.
