From Shailesh Lodha suing makers of Taarak Mehta to Rupali and Sudhanshu reacting to 'rivalry rumours': Top TV news of the week

The whole week has been eventful for TV celebs with some major revelations. Rakhi Sawant recently claimed she received a threatening mail from Lawrence Bishnoi's gang warning her to stay away from Salman Khan's matter while Shehnaaz Gill finally announced that she is ready to move on. Even Anupamaa's Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey clarified rivalry rumours. Take a look at everything that happened this week:

Shailesh Lodha played Taarak Mehta in the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. However, the actor chose to quit the show last year. After making an exit, it has been a year since his payment has been due. The actor has taken the legal route and filed a lawsuit against the makers of the show and Asit Modi's production house.

Rakhi Sawant recently received a threatening mail from Lawrence Bishnoi's gang who had threatened Salman Khan. The mail read, "Rakhi humari tere saath koi ladai nahi hai tu Salman Khan ke matter mein involve mat ho. Warna tujhe bohot problem ho jayegi aur tere bhai Salman ko hum Bombay mein hi maarenge. Woh kitni bhi security badha le, abki baar usse security ke saath hi maarenge. Yeh last warning hai Rakhi warna tu bhi tayyar rehna. sent by Gujjar Prince". (Rakhi we don't have any fight with you but don't get involved in Salman Khan's matter. Or else you will have a lot of problems. Despite all the security, we will kill Salman Khan in Bombay. Consider this as our last warning to you or else be ready for the repercussions.)

Ruhi Chaturvedi and Anjum Fakih became the confirmed contestants of Khatron Ke Khiladi 13. Ruhi said, “I have always been a fan of adventure sports, but I never got the chance to try them out because of my fears. When the opportunity to be part of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 13’ came my way, I knew I had to take it up.”

Anjum confirmed the news and said, "I am thrilled to step out of my comfort zone and explore the world of reality TV for the first time. As an actor, I have always pushed my limits to deliver my best performance, and now, I am excited to put my physical and mental abilities to the test."

Shraddha Arya exclusively spoke to ETimes TV about playing a mother onscreen to actors who are barely 8-10 years younger than her in reality. She said, "I never had any issues but people around me kept saying so initially I developed a little issue. But the first day when the leap happened, I was very happy that the burden will be shared and I will get time for my personal life. Since the time I’ve gotten married, I haven’t got time to spend time with my husband in my house in Visakhapatnam. I only visit him for 5 days whenever I get the time and it is just like a holiday. I’ve not really lived with him like a wife. So I was absolutely in agreement. But when people around me started saying that why are you playing such an older character when you are not in real life? So, initially, I was reluctant but eventually, I did what my heart felt."

In a live stream on YT, Raftaar slammed The Kapil Sharma Show, calling it shoshebaazi. He said, "Basically kya hota hai, dekh humne kaam kar liya, wahan jaakar yeh dikhana hota hai ke hum bahut bade hai (Basically what happens, we do the work but when we go there, we have to show that we are big people). Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey were exclusively asked by ETimes TV about the rumours of their rivalry on the sets of Anupamaa. Sudhanshu said, "When the audience gets to hear things from other mediums, they tend to take things very seriously and believe it. So whenever we are asked about our equation, I always tell people to visit our sets and see how we work together. If you are working together the most important thing is mutual respect. After working for such long hours on sets, it doesn’t remain a workplace, it becomes our second home."

Rupali added, "When you work with each other for 12-14 hours a day daily, you become a family. And when you are part of the family, differences and fights are very natural. Dus bartan saath mein rahenge toh khatkenge hi. We fight a lot with each other, I am being very honest but after 3 days we sit and chill together. It is bound to happen because we both are very strong individuals. We are not like pals or best of friends but there’s a huge respect for him as an actor and I love doing my scenes with him."

Jay Bhanushali is back with Hum Rahein Na Rahein Hum, the actor shared his views on actors degrading Television. Jay said, "I haven't differentiated between my jobs on OTT, films or TV. I have huge respect for television artists who have been doing shows for several years as it's not easy. When you do a film, there's a schedule of 15-20 days. So you can concentrate and then have a break and then you come back fresh and do more scenes. On TV, you are working every day in difficult situations."

He added, "If anyone degrades TV actors or TV, my blood boils. You have been given an identity due to television. You have a bungalow or a car or a name because of it. You shouldn't ever forget that. If I had not been on television, I wouldn't have been anywhere. So I won't consider it less any day."

The makers of The Kapil Sharma Show have again approached Krushna Abhishek to return to the show. However, here's what he had to say. In an exclusive chat with BT, Krushna says, “Yes, I received a call from the makers of TKSS recently. They wanted me back. However, we couldn’t reach a conclusion owing to monetary and contractual differences for the second time. Baat paise par hi aakar atki hai phir se.”

Rajeev Sen exclusively spoke to ETimes TV about his sister Sushmita Sen's health after heart attack. He said, "She’s absolutely fine now with the blessings of God and what happened was quite unfortunate. Health is quite unpredictable and things can happen. But touch wood she’s doing much better now and is back to work."

Recently, in an interview Prince Narula shared his views on Rhea Chakraborty returning with Roadies, Prince shared that he was misquoted and said, "Hi everyone, some newspapers and portals are writing headlines about me that Prince Narula is supporting someone. I am not here to support anyone. I am only doing my work and I believe in being professional. I have come for Roadies and not to support anybody's comeback. I believe you all are smart enough to support whom you all want to. These portals are writing twisted headlines, I want to clarify I am not supporting anyone or disrespecting anyone. This would be the second time, Kapil Sharma decided to wrap up the season. While talking to the Bombay Times, Kapil exclusively shared, “It is not finalised yet. We have to go to the USA for our live tour in July and we will see what to do around that time. Having said that, even that’s too far.”

In The Kapil Sharma Show Shehnaaz shared her take on the relationship and future, she said, "I am ready to move on but on my terms. I will fall in love but on my terms and I will decide what I want to do."

Salman supported her and even took a dig at the constant 'SidNaaz' pressure that the actress goes through. He said, “Kuch time pehle inko (Shehnaaz Gill) ‘Sidnaaz Sidnaaz’ karke bolte the. Ab woh duniya mai nahi raha aur vo jahan pe bhi hai, vo bhi yahi chahega ki inki zindagi mai koi aaye, you know shaadi hojaaye, bacche hojaaye" (People used to address her as sidnaaz, now that Sidharth is in a better place, he would also want her to move on. It is high time she moves on. She should also have someone, marry and have kids.)

Abdu Rozik exclusively spoke to ETimes TV about his miraculous height growth, he said, "By God's grace from 94cm to 100.5cm even my shoe size from 24 to 27. I am so very grateful to my fans who always supported and prayed for me in every sphere of my life and I will always keep showering love to my fans as I always do."

He further added, "I am really very excited now as I love driving and due to this unbelievable growth in my height I have become eligible in some countries to apply for a driving license. I truly do believe that with all the positive messages, love and support I have received my prayers have been granted."
