From struggling with wrong doctors to four failed egg-freezing attempts; Yuvika Chaudhary shares why she chose IVF to conceive their first baby

Yuvika Chaudhary and Prince Narula announced their pregnancy in the cutest way. They also hosted an adorable baby shower. Earlier in her vlog, Yuvika shared that she had conceived through IVF. Now while sharing about her IVF journey in her vlog, Yuvika shared why she chose the process, struggles and more.

We got married and after that, we were in our own world. We didn't decide back then when we would plan kids. But definitely, I used to tell Prince, that we never planned what we would do in future. Prince's career had just kickstarted and being a good wife, I made a few sacrifices to push Prince ahead and I decided to work from home. We focused on Prince and wanted our marriage to work. It was his golden phase and I didn't want him to think that our marriage would stop him from anything.

I wanted Prince's career to establish well and we pushed the family planning. But then I realised that with time your body and age don't support a lot of things. When we started figuring out I discussed with Prince that I wanted to opt for IVF and I didn't want to disturb Prince's career. So we decided to safeguard our parenthood journey through IVF.

We were not sure that we would conceive through IVF only. But looking at our lifestyle, the health issues, and COVID-19, so with time even our body changes by considering all the factors we thought we should move towards IVF. Prince supported me with the decision and we decided to take the step.

Our first struggle was going to the wrong doctor, more than right or wrong it was about the personal experience. Initially, I didn't get the right guidance from the doctor and I got extremely scared because I didn't have the knowledge about it. So then I told Prince that we must first research it and then go ahead.

Then I continued with the struggle and consulted other doctors. Then I sought help from my personal doctor and they supported me in the decision. Soon after my doctor guided me and referred me to the specialist that is how my IVF journey began.

Baby is arriving anytime soon now. I have been feeling nervous, we are all excited and I am very very close to that time. Choosing IVF was important because, if you are career-oriented, there is no harm in planning your baby. We need time to establish our careers, it isn't like we can't conceive naturally but the IVF process can be chosen for safety.

Initially, I was blank, it was my first trial with IVF and I had conceived. Before that, I had frozen my eggs, and I had gotten mentally exhausted as I had done that process four times. When you take the medication and injections for the egg-freezing process, your body transforms as if you are pregnant. Because of that, I had become so practical about it that I wasn't sure when I got pregnant.

I kept asking Prince if that was true, if was he sure about it. Prince had smartly given his contact during the blood test. When the results came in his phone, I was shocked and later I had tears of joy.
