From taking a dig at each other to what annoys the Sharks the most; Shark Tank India 3’s Anupam Mittal, Vineeta Singh, Aman Gupta and Amit Jain reveal behind-the-scenes secrets - Exclusive

Anupam Mittal, Vineeta Singh, Amit Jain, and Aman Gupta, renowned investors from Shark Tank India Season 3, engaged in a lively and candid discussion with ETimes TV regarding the show. The Sharks provided insights into the latest season and shared their perspectives on the deals presented and also revealed some behind-the-scenes secrets.

2/8

On Shark Tank India 3 content

Anupam Mittal: Content is incredible. It is amazing. I think, at least my view is based on what people are telling me, what I am hearing, the chat that is going on on Twitter, Instagram, as far as content is concerned, it's better than season 1, much better than season 2. It's exactly what Shark Tank India should be.

Aman: I agree with Anupam. Me and Anupam were talking on the phone that this year content and edit both wise it's done very well and it's just now the traction is also picking up.

Anupam: Naaye Sharks se itna farq nahi padta

Amit: It's looking more like a business show this year for sure.

Vineeta: And every day it's like new panel, new combination, new sectors so I think kaafi novelty bhi hai.

Anupam: Woh naaye Sharks se itna farq nahi padta.

Aman: The predictability is lesser. With the new Sharks, people can’t guess much.

Aman Gupta on emphasizing in doing solo deals

Aman: Let me tell you what is happening. You will get to see more Sharks deals. It’s not that I am only doing solo. I have done with other Sharks too. I think in the edit they showed the solo deals first. Another reason is, when there are other Sharks in deals also, I have faced this in the previous seasons, beyond the Tank, lot of analysis begins.”

Vineeta: The real thing is, the main combination of Karan-Arjun (Peyush Bansal and Aman Gupta), who did most deals together last season, that duo is not doing deals together this season. That the real reason why Aman is doing solo deals.

5/8

On Aman taking a dig at Peyush in an episode

Aman: Karan Arjun iss baar saath baethe bhi nahi the. Woh bhi galat edit tha. They didn’t show Peyush’s part. Na insaafi hui hai mere saath.

On balancing their own brands and Shark Tank deals

Anupam: Desh ki seva mein koi toh pista hi hai. We have teams, we are organised.

Vineeta: There’s a lot to learn. I honestly feel that being a Shark makes me a better founder of my own company.

Amit: I also get to learn a lot from each sector as I sit with them to discuss brands.

Aman: Adding on to what he said, it's good learning from the new founders, from the start-ups. And also, what we have learnt, if we don't teach people a little, then it's a waste of time. If we help them a little and their business grows, then it's good for us and the returns are also good. If you look at it from a financial point of view, Namita has already got an exit in 18 months. It is a good thing, which has happened. So it's financially also good and it's good for the founders, good for us. I think it's good for everyone. What’s the harm in it?

7/8

On Anupam give strict vibes on set

Anupam: Meri shakal aisi hai, I'm always laughing from within. I have a very straight face. My way of speaking is straight-faced. But most of the stuff I say is either with a sense of humor or sarcasm. But most people don't pick it up. The level of humor I have, they don’t understand. But that's just me. It's not a cultivated thing. It's what it is. But it's not like that. But I am getting to hear this a lot. Because I think in season 2, I called out a lot of people. And this carried on in season 3, right? There's one thing. Humour aside, in season 1 it was a new show for the country, a new show for us, a new show for the founders. So you have to cut a lot of slack. We were trying to understand how it will go, what to do. You have to be very accommodating. But now season 3 has come. You have seen at least 100 episodes. So getting prepared is the basic requirement. Many times I see that people come, either they get nervous or they don't remember the numbers. There it feels like you're wasting time or you've taken somebody else's spot, right?

The second part is when people make false claims. Where there is no transparency and people create their own narrative. We're asking something but they're giving different answers. Like Vinita was saying, you're trying to create your own narrative. They're not answering our questions.

Amit Jain auditioned for 4 hours for Shark Tank India

It was very normal and natural. I am very private person. Don’t enjoy Instagram a lot. I am on other professional sites. When I joined Shark Tank India, I made my profile public from private. Even if you ask me now, I don’t do Instagram a lot.
