Indira Krishnan: I enjoyed playing Rashmika Mandana's mother in Animal, she is so down-to-earth

Actress Indira Krishnan, who is seen essaying the role of Rajmata Durgavati in the fantasy drama Dhruv Tara - Samay Sadi Se Pare, wants to explore new opportunities on different platforms. But TV will always remain her priority, she says.

"For me, it's never TV or films, I would not want to categorise myself and say I belong to any one particular medium. I'm an actor and I wish to do all kinds of interesting roles that are offered to me. I have gratitude towards television as a medium as it is my bread and butter. But I want to do web shows too. Currently, too, I'm doing TV shows alongside movies. I believe that an actor's life is all about entertaining audiences," she says.

The actress has played Rashmika Mandanna's mother in the action-thriller film Animal. She says, "Working in this film has been a good experience for me. The entire team was welcoming. I loved working with Rashmika and I feel that she is very down-to-earth and that's a good trait to have. I want to do more films... I want to work hard and get more interesting roles."


Indira has featured in TV shows like Saavi Ki Savaari, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Krishnaben Khakhrawala and has been part of films like Hey Bro, Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty and Tathastu.
