Indira Krishnan on celebrating Lohri in Punjab says, 'It will always stay special'
Actress Indira Krishnan, currently seen playing Durgawati in the television show Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan, continues to stay busy with packed shooting schedules while also celebrating festivals on the go. The actress is also gearing up for a significant cinematic milestone as she will be seen portraying Kausalya in Nitesh Tiwari’s film Ramayana.
This year, Pongal finds herself in Chandigarh due to work commitments. “Though I’m shooting, my prayers never stop. I pray for everyone’s good health and happiness. This year, my prayers are especially for children appearing for their Class 10, 12 and entrance exams. May their wisdom lead them to success and help every child shine in their own field,” she says.
Speaking about celebrating Lohri in Punjab for the first time, Indira adds, “Lohri in Punjab is always amazing. The cold this year has been intense, but it didn’t dampen the celebrations at all. The joy and warmth people bring make it unforgettable. It’s my first Lohri in Punjab, and it will always stay special because I’m shooting for Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan.”
Does she miss home while constantly travelling? She smiles and says, “This is also my home. For me, work is home, and home is work. I’m always on my toes. The word ‘missing’ rarely exists in my book. My energy and my mind keep taking me forward.”
Apart from Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan, Indira has been part of notable shows like Krishnaben Khakhrawala, Krishnadasi, Saavi Ki Savaari and Durga – Atoot Prem Kahani.
