Jahnavi Soni: As show was going off air, during shooting for an emotional scene, I cried for real
Actress Jahnavi Soni expressed shock and disappointment over the sudden wrap-up of her show, 'Paro Sang Dev,' which she felt ended abruptly.
Actor Jahnavi Soni, who played the titular role in Paro Sang Dev, has opened up about the show’s sudden wrap-up. The series, which also featured Arjun Verma opposite her, premiered on September 22, 2025, and went off air on December 20. Reacting to the unexpected ending, Jahnavi said, “The show was really doing good. Makers, audience and the team—everyone was happy. Suddenly, we got to know about the wrap-up, and it was very shocking for me. For five to ten minutes, I was completely blank. After that, during an emotional scene, I cried for real.” Calling the experience memorable, she added, “The role and the show will always remain special for me. From my first interaction with the team to the last day of the shoot, everything was interesting, joyful and full of positivity. I’m now looking forward to new opportunities.” Jahnavi admitted the ending felt rushed. “I found the ending a little abrupt. It felt like an unfinished conversation. There is a bit of disappointment, but I’m satisfied with the journey I've lived. I didn’t just enjoy the process, I learned a lot.” Speaking about her preparation, she shared, “In Paro Sang Dev, I learned the Bihari accent—how to talk, how to say ‘haan’.
I think I’m still saying it in real life now,” she laughed, adding that transitioning to her next role might take some effort. Reflecting on Paro’s impact, she said, “My earlier characters were low-confident. Paro was different—she was open-minded, strong, and that shaped me as an actor.” Apart from this show, Jahnavi has appeared in Dahej Daasi, Chaudhary Saab Ri Chatur Family, Ghar Ek Mandir, and the film Afwaah.
