Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 contestant Shoaib Ibrahim says, ‘I hope I don’t forget steps’; glimpses from rehearsals, how it is shot and more

Actor Shoaib Ibrahim, who was last seen in TV show Ajooni, is all set to charm his audience with his dance skills in upcoming reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11. The actor is a good dancer and had previously participated in Nach Baliye 8 with wife Dipika Kakar and this time he is going solo. The actor, who is also a vlogger, shared many glimpses from his promo shoot, and expressed his initial performance about participation in the show and more. Take a look:

After many rehearsal rounds, Shoaib was excited and nervous for the first performance. He said, “Whatever rehearsals we did so far, today is the exam day. I don’t know how it is going to happen. I am nervous. No matter how much you practice, you do get nervous when you perform on stage.”

Shoaib added, “I hope everything goes well and I hope I don’t forget steps. With so many things happening, sometimes you tend to forget. During rehearsals, we do it in cuts but during the performance, it’s one-go.”

Shoaib was a part of Nach Baliye 8 with his real life baliye Dipika Kakar back in 2017. Recalling those moments, he said, “It’s been quite sometime since I did Nach Baliye some 5-6 years back. Post that, the flow has broken. Let’s see what happens.”

Shoaib mentioned that he skipped many things from his schedule owing to keeping unwell but had to go for Jhalak shoot. He shared, “Before the performance, all the contestants get the stage for allotted time. We get time to rehearse on stage before final act. We get an idea. I was rehearsing on stage with prop. You will get to see in the episodes that there are some sliding sequence and all. While rehearsing my foot got hurt and I wasn’t able to walk and couldn’t go for rehearsals. Today also it is hurting but I can’t skip it.”

Shoaib showed his first performance outfit, which is a lavender colour sequined shirt. He gave a peek into his vanity while getting ready for his first act. He also promised to share everything in detail once the episode goes on-air.

About his first performance, Shoaib said, “The first performance went well according to me. Rest how the judges reacted, you all will get to see soon.” He also shared that wife Dipika came to see his first performance and asked her to review his act. Dipika said, “I enjoyed a lot. I loved the entire feel of it. I was very happy that it was Shoaib’s first performance. It was very special for me. You all need to watch it. The song is also amazing.”

Shoaib mentioned that post their performance, the actors get a rest day. He further shared, “All the contestants get a break for a day. And also the next performance’s act gets decided. And song and choreography get locked. We are called a day later.”
