Kaun Banega Crorepati 16: Amitabh Bachchan reveals his iconic dialogue from Agneepath was an impromptu line that he made, says 'Yeh dialogue maine ussi waqt banaya tha jab picture chal rahi thi'
Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, continues to captivate viewers with a combination of knowledge and the host's fascinating views. Today's episode (September 23) saw Ujjwal Prajapat in the hot seat as he chased his ambition of winning big on the show. During the presentation, Big B disclosed that he drew up his own dialogue for the film Agneepath.
Ujjwal, a 22-year-old participant, struggled with the Rs 3,20,000 question and opted to use the 'Video Call a Friend' lifeline to contact his friend Swapnil Kothari. Swapnil admired Agneepath's dialogue, adding, "Bandook bhi dikhata hai or peeche bhi hatta hai" (He shows the pistol but also moves back).
Amitabh responded in a light-hearted manner, saying, "Ye Bandook ki baat kaahe boli aapne?" (Why did you bring up the gun?) Swapnil responded that it represents courage and that he even has a poster of the dialogue in his library.
Amitabh Bachchan then shared an anecdote from the film about the dialogue, “Kya hota hai bhaisaab kayi baar koi scene likh kar aata hai lekin vo samaa dekh kar ke, vo avsar dekh kar ke, mann se jo baat nikalti hai vo bol dete hai. Director ko bolte hai bhaiya isko zara aise bol denge sahi rahega. Yeh dialogue maine ussi waqt banaya tha jab picture chal rahi thi.”
( Sometimes, bhaisaab, a scene is scripted, but when you look at the situation and the moment, you simply utter what comes from the heart. He tells the director, 'Let me say it like way, it will sound better.' I came up with that dialogue while the sequence was being shot.)
Amitabh Bachchan got extremely emotional when he got to know Ujwal's story. The contestant opened up about how his mother and grandmother are selling pots and managing their home. While his father is doing labour work but suffers from alcoholism due to which they are in debt.
