Mahhi Vij addresses divorce with Jay Bhanushali: ‘It didn’t work out but he has not run away from the responsibility of our kids’

Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali recently made headlines after they confirmed their divorce. The former couple stated that they have parted ways on a mutual note and will continue to remain good friends. Mahhi confirmed getting a divorce from Jay Bhanushali in her new vlog. She mentioned that there is no drama involved and the two have mutually decided to part ways. She said, “Yes, I am separated from Jay. We are divorced, but we remain good friends. We are both very peaceful people. We don’t like drama, we don’t like fights or dirt. We have mutually decided that it’s better that we go our separate ways.”

Mahhi addressed the hate comments and said, “I am reading a lot in the comment section, people are asking why we adopted children, why we had children. Our bank account is not empty, we can take care of our kids. And it’s not like Jay ran away from his responsibilities or that I have nothing. All three children will continue to live the same way they were living before.”

Mahhi mentioned how their kids will learn from how their parents ended things in a ‘nice and peaceful way’ rather than fighting. She said, “I think it is a very good example for the children as well that if things do not work out, it doesn’t mean that when it’s time to separate, you drag the relationship into negativity by pulling each other into court, or behave badly, or involve the children. I feel my kids will be proud of both me and Jay that even though Mama and Papa didn’t feel they wanted to continue the marriage, they handled it in a calmer and better way. That is very important to me. There comes a point when you realise that nothing is more important than peace, and no person is more important than your own inner peace.”

She spoke about the kids and how the two will share responsibilities equally. The actress said, “So Jay and I will always remain friends. We have our daughter, we have our three kids. There is no question of who will take responsibility and who won’t. We will both take equal responsibility, and we both love them equally. It’s not like the kids have come on the road and there’s nobody to take care of them. They will continue to get what they were getting before.”

Mahhi shared a life update and mentioned how she’s doing well and wants fans to respect her decision. She said, “I’m good and I will take care of the kids as much as I can, and whatever I can do, I will do. And Jay will also do his part. Please respect our space and respect our decision.”

Mahhi concluded her vlog by saying she respects Jay and doesn’t want fans to spread hate. She said, “Whatever decision we made, we made it mutually and respectfully.
