Sushant Singh Rajput’s Pavitra Rishta co-star and former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande has been actively present by the late actor’s family in their quest to find the truth. The actress, who was in a relationship with Sushant for 6 years, recently broke her silence by raising her voice in the media saying ‘Sushant can’t commit suicide’. Many celebs have stood in solidarity by trending #Warriors4SSR over social media. Last night, Ankita Lokhande took to her twitter account and shared a picture of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's mother. She wrote, “Believe you both are together. #warriors4ssr.”

When Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case was handed over to the CBI, Ankita was one of the first one to react. The actress took to social media to share: The moment we’ve waited for has finally arrived. She further added, “Gratitude.”

After speaking to the media, the actress shared a cryptic post on her social media. The message read with the hashtag #Listeningtomyhigherself: “They wanted me to be a million things in this Earthy lifetime and to each I bowed and said “Not for me. I am on the Priestess Path, Goddess born, and I cannot be swayed. I follow the journey of my heart and singing of my soul; I cannot be bought, and I cannot be sold.”

Ankita, while speaking to Times Now said, "If papa has done this FIR then I am very sure that they have their proofs about these transactions. I stand by my family and that’s the most important thing for me.”

Ankita, who knew Sushant for the longest time, affirmed that he wouldn't give up his life for his career and cried foul play. "He knew it from Day 1 in the industry that he has to face certain things. Even I am from this industry, I too have to face several things but that doesn’t mean it breaks me. We all are aware that in this field there will be ups and downs, but I don’t believe that these things pressurised him (Sushant) and he can't die for his career. There has to be a different reason, there has to be something else for which this has happened," concluded Ankita in her interview.

Ankita Lokhande tweeted 'truth wins', a day after Sushant’s father filed FIR against Rhea Chakraborty. The actress has been reeling under the effects of his death by suicide on June 14, which came as a shock not only to her but many in the television industry.

The actress maintained a staunch silence after the actor’s demise. However, on his first month death anniversary and a few weeks earlier, shared a photo with a diya lighted and kept in front of her house temple. She would pray for him and wrote, “Child of God” and “Keep smiling wherever you are”.

While Ankita couldn’t gain senses to attend the actor’s last rites, she paid a visit to their Bandra residence a few days later. Not only this, she also went to Sushant’s house in Patna to be with the bereaved family.
