Megha Sharma on her role in Saajan Ghar: She is strong, grounded, emotional, and believes deeply in family values
Megha Sharma, who is currently seen in Saajan Ghar, shared that she resonates with her character in the show. Coincidentally, her name in the show is also Megha. She said, "She is strong, grounded, emotional, and believes deeply in family values, but at the same time she knows how to stand up for herself."
"I relate to her a lot because she is honest, emotionally driven, and practical, qualities I strongly believe in, both on and off screen. As for my look, it’s very graceful, simple, and rooted in something that reflects today’s woman who balances tradition with modern thinking," she added.
She mentioned that she shares a very warm and comfortable bond with her co-actors and said, "We support each other, rehearse together, and keep the atmosphere positive, which reflects on screen as well."
Megha feels that doing a daily soap makes an actor build a strong connection with the audience. She said, "You become a part of their daily routine, and that love and acceptance is extremely fulfilling as an actor. There are moments of intense scenes followed by lighthearted fun behind the camera. Those spontaneous laughs and bonding moments make the long working hours worthwhile."
Her last show was Pandya Store, and she calls it a very special project. She said, "It gave me immense exposure and helped me grow as an actor both emotionally and professionally."
Megha shares that the TV industry has evolved over the years. "Content has become more realistic, characters are more layered, and storytelling is far more progressive. Female characters today are stronger and more independent, which makes the medium more exciting and meaningful for actors," she said.
Asked what the best part about being an actor is, she said, "The ability to live many lives in one lifetime. Every role teaches you something new. Not just about acting, but about yourself as a person."
Speaking about her dream role, she said, "My dream role is to play a strong, unconventional female character. I would love to portray roles that challenge me and leave a lasting impact on the audience."
