Speaking to IANS, Priyanka addressed the comparisons that come with playing a Naagin. She shared that she views them as a natural part of the journey. She chooses to stay focused on her performance. "Yes, definitely, comparisons will be there, and that is very normal. I feel one should take them in a positive way because comparisons happen everywhere. If there is any comparison, I would just like to say that since the show has had six seasons, there have been many iconic Naagins and several successful seasons."

She continued on adding that her only aim is to give it her all and remain true to herself. "In Season 7 as well, we are giving our best and putting in our 100 per cent effort. I will try to carry forward the legacy the way it has been so far. I am simply playing my character with honesty, and I will continue to give my 100 per cent."

Priyanka has been using social media to actively promote the show. She thanked followers and introduced her character in one of her Instagram postings. She captioned her post, "Meet your new Naagin Coming to your screens very soon, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude today."

A legacy built by iconic Naagins
Over the years, the ‘Naagin’ franchise has featured several memorable leads. The first season starred Mouni Roy as Shivanya and Shivangi. Her performance became iconic and set the tone for the series. She returned in ‘Naagin 2’ alongside Adaa Khan, who played Shesha.
Surbhi Jyoti starred as Bela in ‘Naagin 3,’ with Pearl V Puri and Anita Hassanandani playing major roles. Jasmin Bhasin featured Nayantara in ‘Naagin 4,’ while Nia Sharma starred Brinda. Then followed ‘Naagin 5,’ featuring Surbhi Chandna, Mohit Sehgal, and Sharad Malhotra. Tejasswi Prakash, Simba Nagpal, Mahek Chahal, Pratik Sehajpal, Shrey Mittal, and Vatsal Sheth showed up in ‘Naagin 6.’
