Namish Taneja to Faisal Khan: When these TV actors had near fatal injuries

Actress Tanvi Dogra, who will be seen in the upcoming TV show 'Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein', got injured during the shoot at Ghodbunder Fort. Commenting on the same in an exclusive interview with BT, Tanvi said, “We were shooting at the Ghodbunder Fort, and for a scene, we had to sit on a wall. However, the moment I climbed on the wall, it started cracking and before we realised what was happening, all of us fell. It was a nasty fall. I have sustained multiple bruises, cuts and even tore a ligament in my left toe. The left side of my face is swollen with scratches. We were in the hospital for a day, I have been advised 10-day bed rest.” (By: Neha Maheshwari)

Namish Taneja, who plays Vivek in 'Vidya', was hospitalised after he suffered a severe electric shock on the set, recently. He was shooting for a sequence, which showed cardioversion (a medical procedure) being performed on him. Namish suffered an electric shock during the shoot because the technicians had forgotten to switch off the machine. The actor told BT, “It happened in Vasai on Sunday (November 24). I was rushed to a nearby hospital, where I was admitted for about 10 hours. Later, I was shifted to another hospital. I am still in shock because I could have died.”

Dancer-turned-choreographer, Faisal Khan fell from a horse while shooting for his historical show, Chandragupta Maurya and suffered an injury in September. He underwent surgery on his right leg. He was advised complete bed rest for a few weeks. Currently, he is in the recovery process. He is using crutches to walk. However, he has been advised to stay away from dance for two months.

The Kasautii Zindagii Kay actress had a near fatal injury on the sets of dance reality show Nach Baliye 9. During a performance, she slipped, lost her balance and fell in the front from above 10 feet from the ground. She landed on her hands. Her hubby Sandeep said, “The impact was such that she hurt both her hands — the joint of her right wrist was fractured, while the left elbow bone was chipped. Pooja had also sprained a ligament in her left leg.” Pooja has now completely recovered.

The Tara from Satara actor Lavish Deora suffered an injury on the sets a few days back. But he continued performing despite the producers' objection. Lavish was shooting with pain, and he suddenly fell down and fainted. "This pain caused me to black out and thus I fainted on the stage. The production and the team of the show have been highly supportive and they refrained me from shooting in the first place and after this incident also they took very good care of me," Lavish said.

Avneet Kaur, who is currently seen playing the role of Princess Yasmine in Aladdin - Naam Toh Suna Hoga, also got injured on the sets in October. She was shooting for an action sequence. The actress got bruises on her waist.

In September, actor Ankit Raaj, who played the role of Adhiraj in Main Bhi Ardhangini, was rushed to a private hospital in Jaipur after he injured himself during the shoot. Ankit and Heena Parmar, who played the character of Mohini, were rehearsing for a romantic scene when one of the focus lights fell on Ankit’s leg. He got two stitches below the knee.

Bigg Boss 12 fame Deepak Thakur suffered an injury while performing a task in the Ace Of Space 2 house. The activity was stopped mid-way and he was given medical treatment post which he was brought back. However, his health deteriorated and he had to make an immediate exit. Deepak had suffered an injury in the Bigg Boss 12 house and he got hit on the same place in Ace of Space 2.

Guddan… Tumse Na Ho Payega actress Sehrish Ali injured her back as she slipped on the floor because of water during a shot. She hurt her back, elbow and also sprained her leg. The shooting was stalled due to the mishap and immediately called a doctor. She was advised bed rest for a while.
