Take a look at which are the favourite shows of these TV actors

On World Television Day today (November 21), we spoke to television actors who are passionate about their craft. But what do they watch on TV? And is there a show which is their all-time favourite? Here's what these actors had to say...

2/9

Vatsal Sheth

I still remember watching Karamchand and Malgudi days. These are some really old shows which kids of today might not even have heard of. I still have those stories fresh in my mind. TV was the only way of entertainment then and these were interesting shows. I remember people used to gather to watch these shows together.

3/9

Ashnoor Kaur

One show that I used to watch with full attention was The Suite Life of Karan and Kabir. I used to enjoy that show. I would even watch repeat episodes again and again. I think I liked it so much because the characters were of my age at that time. It was a very light-hearted show and a sweet story of two brothers.

4/9

Sumeet Raghavan

Television as a medium continues to play a significant role in our country. Even in the age of OTT and short video format platforms, television is close to people's hearts. It's been more than two decades that I’ve been part of this wonderful industry and I can proudly say that this industry has given me a great platform to showcase my passion as an artist. The show that had a special place in my heart while growing up was Wagle Ki Duniya (1988) and I believe my life has come full circle as I am now a part the new Wagle generation. Another show that is dear to me is Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, and I can say that the show is relatable even today and is loved by the audiences.

5/9

Nimrit Ahluwalia

I used to love watching Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. It was always so refreshing to watch that show and even today if I watch it, it feels like a new episode. Apart from that, I keep getting updates from my friends and family about what is happening on TV shows as most of the time I am shooting. I try to watch television through my phone and keep myself updated.

6/9

Sonya Saamoor

I loved watching Mickey Mouse as a kid when it used to come in the evenings. The content was cute and funny. I would wait all day long just to watch that evening show. I miss those times. Childhood memories are precious. Nowadays I watch Bigg Boss sometimes because Simba Nagpal and Neha Bhasin are my friends and are part of the current season. The entertainment world holds an important place in my life as it is an escape from reality and everyone needs that once in a while.

7/9

Sayantani Ghosh

I am a very proud member of the Indian television fraternity. While growing up, watching Mahabharat and Ramayana every Sunday on television was a treat, and both the shows had a huge fanbase. So these two shows continue to be very dear to me. When I was in my teenage years, I loved watching a show called Banegi Apni Baat. Talking about now, I like watching dance reality shows because dance has always been my passion and watching it makes me happy.

8/9

Kunal Karan Kapoor

Growing up, watching television was what we all did. And to get an opportunity to be a part of this industry was a big thing. There’s a lot that I owe to television. I am immensely grateful that through this medium I get the opportunity to reach the entire nation and share a story while showcasing my talent and pursuing my love for acting. If I have to pick a show that is my all-time favourite, it has to be Dekh Bhai Dekh. Dekh Bhai Dekh was a true classic and I can watch the show even today.

9/9

Kajal Pisal

My favorite comedy show has always been Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, it's a feel good show. Apart from that, one of the cult shows from the past is Maryaada. It had a very different storyline and was way ahead of its time. That story is still stuck with me and I can re-watch the show at any point in my life again. I feel we should celebrate and remember such shows on television.
