Pratik Sehajpal talks about his exciting Bigg Boss journey and the overwhelming response he has received
Even though Pratik Sehajpal didn't win the Bigg Boss 15 trophy, he won hearts of millions. His journey in the Bigg Boss house has been no less than a rollercoaster and in an exclusive interview with Bombay Times, he talks about his experiences and his 'winning' moment. Excerpts....
How disappointed are you, given that you came very close to winning the trophy?
I don't even know how to feel right now. I feel I am on a different planet. I haven't slept the entire night and I'm not able to eat. I'm only thinking about all that happened in the last 24 hours. When Salman Khan sir took me and made me sit besides my mother, I couldn't believe it. But then he came back and took me back on the stage again and at that time I couldn't control my emotions and I cried. I felt that God had listened to my prayers. Even the people who didn't know me supported me and that is victory for me. I'm getting so much love from all over. When I was given the trophy to hold for a minute, uss trophy ko maine itne pyaar se hug kiya jaise woh meri hi hai. I don't want to have any negative feelings and I have no regret about anything. I stood second and people have given me immense love and that's a lot for me. I gave my hundred percent to the show and rest was up to the audience.
What did Salman Khan say to you after the announcement?
Salman sir appreciated me and my journey on the show. His words were more than enough for me, it really mattered a lot. Later at night, he even gave his T-shirt to me and that itself feels like an achievement.
Celebs who came to the house said you were their favorite. Post the finale too, you got a lot of celeb support. What do you have to say about that?
I am still unable to absorb all this love. I am not able to handle my emotions. My mother and sister are also overwhelmed amd proud of me. It's a funny situation where I don't know whether to handle myself or them. But it was my mom's dream to see me sharing the stage with Salman sir. I want to thank every single person who has supported me. They didn't even know me until a few months back but they have given me a lot of love and I want to thank Bipasha Basu, Ananya Panday, Gauahar Khan and each and everyone who supported me.
What are your learnings from Bigg Boss 15?
Agar tum kuch sacche dil se chaaho, saari kainaat usse tumse milane ki koshish karti hai, this is what I have learnt in BB15. I wanted to stand besides Salman sir and I wanted him to hold my hand and that has happened. It is a dream come true for me. In my head, I have got the trophy because jis tarah maine uss trophy ko jhappi di, woh trophy meri hi hai!
In the show you were accused of trying hard to look for a love angle. You were linked with Neha Bhasin, Akasa Singh and later even Devoleena Bhattacharjee. What was your game plan?
Everyone who has seen me on the show would realise that I was never really looking for any love angle. It's natural to become friends with people on the show when you feel emotionally connected. In a house like that, where everyone is playing for themselves, when you find someone supporting you, it means a lot. There was no intention to create a love angle with anyone.
If you had to choose to continue being friends with from among these three girls, who would it be?
I really don't know about Neha Bhasin,but I would like to continue my friendship with Akasa Singh and Devoleena Bhattacharjee.
