Renee Dhyani on pregnancy: The biggest shift is happening within me
Kasam Tere Pyar Ki actress Renee Dhyani, who tied the knot with banker Karan Parashar in July 2024, is preparing to embrace motherhood. The former Bigg Boss 8 contestant is expecting her first child in early May.
Opening up about this phase, Renee says, “My body is changing and my life is about to change, but the biggest shift is happening within me. I can feel myself becoming someone new. Some days, I feel completely ready, like I was made for this. Other days, I just pause and take it all in. This isn’t just about bringing a life into the world; it’s also about a new version of me being born. This journey has made me calmer and more understanding. I am a little less reactive and a lot more grounded.”
Recalling Karan’s reaction when she shared the news, she says, “The moment I told him, it felt like time paused. At first, he just looked at me, as if trying to process whether it was real. And then came a smile I had never seen before, a mix of shock, happiness, and something deeper. It hit him that we were going to be parents. He said, ‘Everything’s about to change, isn’t it?’ And for the first time, we both truly felt it.”
Talking about her pregnancy experience, she adds, “It has been a mix of easy and tiring days. I do experience occasional cravings, but I am enjoying the journey. Every pregnancy is different. Times have changed; people now focus on their careers, stability, and the right timing. So, having children in your late 30s is becoming quite common.”
Currently settled in Dubai, Renee hasn’t ruled out a return to acting. Last seen in the web show Ratri Ke Yatri, she says, “I moved to Dubai after my marriage, but Mumbai will always be special because that’s where everything began for me, my journey into television and content. No matter where I go, a part of me will always belong there. Acting will always be a part of me, so I would love to return when the timing feels right.”
