Ridhi Dogra gets candid about The 50: "I’m Secure Even in Displaying My Flaws”
During recent social media question and answer interaction with fans, Actress Ridhi Dogra candidly opined about her journey inside the reality show The 50, addressing criticism, friendships and the personal lessons she took back from the experience.
According to Ridhi, she has always been someone who is secure about her flaws and comfortable admitting the things she may not be good at. “I’m not saying I’m a perfect person, but I’m pretty secure even displaying my flaws or the things I’m not good at. I’m very comfortable saying that yes, I don’t know something. But that sometimes puts off people because everyone is operating out of proving themselves,” she said, adding that this honesty sometimes puts people off because many individuals constantly feel the need to prove themselves.
Reflecting on her acting journey, Ridhi revealed that the character Priya from Maryada played a huge role in shaping her career, “I think it would have to be Priya from Maryada because I was very young and I had played such a strong character so early on in my acting career. She formed a lot of my personality and also the way I worked in the show. After working with that team, there was a foundation of how I want to be as an actor on a set.”
Inside the house of The 50, Ridhi found ways to keep herself calm and balanced, “Every morning they would play blaring sounds to wake us up, which gave me palpitations. So I would go outside around 7 o’clock and do my yoga flow. That helped me stay balanced. During fights I would zone out because I cannot handle too much loud noise.”
Speaking about priorities and trust inside the game, Ridhi also reflected on her equation with Prince Narula, “I don’t trust anyone easily in life. If I trust someone, I go all in. I knew in this show that without even speaking about it, Yuvika and I were each other’s priority. So I never really expected Prince to make me his priority. He had always told me that because I was Yuvika’s priority, I was his priority. So when he said I’m not his priority, I already knew it.”
