Ridhi Dogra recalls her divorce with Raqesh Bapat: ‘We weren’t compatible, ending the marriage saved our friendship’

Ridhi Dogra, known for her popular TV shows, films, and web projects, recently spoke about her equation with ex-husband Raqesh Bapat and their much-discussed divorce. Ridhi Dogra and Raqesh Bapat, who became close friends during the shoot of 'Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak' and tied the knot in May 2011, parted ways in 2019. While their separation was mutual and respectful, several speculations had surfaced about them even before their divorce was finalised.

Ridhi recently appeared on a podcast for Balaji Telefilms’ YouTube channel where she responded to a commonly believed but incorrect narrative surrounding her divorce, the actress shared, "I don't remember what I've read, but it's true that me and my ex-husband Raak, we are very good friends. So, we have actually, you know, saved our friendship by getting out of the marriage because we were not compatible as partners, as husband and wife, but we are very, very good friends. We trust each other. We can, you know, guard each other's secrets and stand up for each other."

Ridhi and Raqesh share a beautiful bond even after their divorce. They remain good friends and always wish each other happiness. The former couple has maintained a strong friendship and continues to speak highly of one another. When Raqesh participated in Bigg Boss OTT season 1, Ridhi was among those who supported him throughout.

On the professional front, Ridhi, who started her career with television, swiftly moved to Bollywood and web shows. She has been a part of popular web series like Asur and The Married Woman. She has also done big budget films like, Jawaan and Ek Tha Tiger 3. Raqesh Bapat has also stayed active in the industry, with strong appearances on television and reality shows, including Bigg Boss OTT. His last Marathi fiction TV show was a major success and marked his debut in Marathi television. He is currently seen on Bigg Boss Marathi 6 as one of the contestants.
