Actress Rutuja Sawant, who is popular for her performance in Mehendi Hai Rachne Wali, is now seen in the recently launched show Do Duniya Ek Dil. The actress joined Times of India TV for an exclusive chat where she spoke about her role, working with the cast of DDED and more.
What made you say yes to this next show of yours?
The decision was quite personal for me. It’s a SOL Production, and working with them truly feels like family. There's a lot of trust and warmth there, so whenever something comes from them, I’m naturally inclined to say yes. I was also the first person to be cast for the show, which made the journey exciting right from the beginning. Plus, I already knew a few members of the cast, which made the experience even more special. Most importantly, the character brief was incredibly interesting. It’s something I’ve never played before, and that challenge really drew me in as an actor. I’m very excited for the audience to watch it.

One actor you absolutely loved working with and why?
I’m really enjoying working with the entire cast — the energy on set has been very warm and welcoming. But I’m especially excited to share screen space with Kanupriya ma’am, who plays my mother-in-law, and
Sudhanshu Pandey. They are both phenomenal actors, and I’m really looking forward to the powerful dynamic our characters will bring to the screen.
Whom did you get along with the best during the shoot of the show?
I’ve shared a very lovely bond with my on-screen mother-in-law. We connected very naturally. I also get along really well with Khushi, who plays my sister-in-law. We’ve built a great rapport, which makes our scenes together even more enjoyable.
