Sara Khan questions animal sacrifice on Bakri Eid 2026; appeals for compassion and humanity: Allah doesn't need blood
Television actress Sara Khan celebrated Bakri Eid 2026 and expressed her thoughts on animal sacrifice during the festival. She also shared a message about the true spiritual meaning of Bakri Eid and requested everyone to pay attention to compassion, charity and faith.
The actress shared a video on her social media account on Thursday and stated that Eid al-Adha should be celebrated for its spiritual message and values, not just as a festival of rituals or sacrifice.
The Bidaai actress wrote on her video post, "Eid-ul-Adha is not just about celebration, clothes, food, or rituals. It is a reminder of the deepest form of faith. The story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) teaches us complete trust in Allah, sincerity of intention, purity of heart, and the courage to surrender what we love most for the sake of the Divine."
She further stated in her message, "The story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) teaches us complete trust in Allah, sincerity of intention, purity of heart, and the courage to surrender what we love most for the sake of the Divine. Allah does not need flesh or blood. Allah sees our taqwa, our intention, our compassion, and our obedience."
Sara urged people to celebrate Eid al-Adha with kindness, compassion, and generosity. She wrote, "This Eid, may we remember that the heart of Qurbani is mercy, charity, gratitude, and sharing with those who need it most."
She further said that people should celebrate with kindness, help the needy, protect the helpless. She also stressed on becoming more compassionate and better human beings.
She added, "Eid Mubarak. May our sacrifice be our ego, and may our reward be a cleaner heart."
As soon as Sara Khan shared the post, people started discussing it online. Several Instagram users reacted to Sara’s views on Eid al-Adha and her comments on animal sacrifice. While many praised her for talking about compassion and empathy, others questioned and debated her views on Eid al-Adha traditions.
On professional front, Sara was in the news for tying the knot last year with Krish Pathak. The couple tied the knot in a court wedding, and later got married as per Hindi and Muslim traditions. Sara and Krish both shared pictures from the ceremony on their social media account.
