Shilpa Shetty's return to Super Dancer 4 to Arshi Khan clarifying she is an Indian citizen with roots in Afghanistan: Top TV newsmakers of the Week

Several celebs from the world of television were in the news this week. While Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim lashed out at haters, Shilpa Shetty returned to Super Dancer 4 after a break. Indian Idol 12 host Aditya Narayan has also left for Maldives to spend time with his wife Shweta Agarwal. Here's taking a look at the top newsmakers of the week.

Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim did a Live session on YouTube to slam those who have been posting nasty comments for giving their father their own bedroom after he got discharged from the hospital. There were comments that Dipika Kakar's 'private' space is getting invaded and the couple won't feel comfortable. Both of them addressed it in their Live and lashed out at those who show concern by sharing such nasty messages. The Ibrahim family was also blamed for turning Dipika into a 'naukrani' but the two rubbished it in their session.

After wrapping-up the grand finale of Indian Idol 12, its host Aditya Narayan is off for a vacation to Maldives with wife Shweta Agarwal. Sharing photos from the place, he wrote, "There’s no better way to travel than with your loved ones to a beautiful place & create life-long memories. Indian Idol 12 winner, Pawandeep Rajan, along with the first and second runner-up of the show, Arunita Kanjilal and Shanmukha Priya, respectively, will feature in a musical series directed by Raj Surani. Being the creative producer and director of the musical series, Raj said, "When I shot the video with all the key contestants of Indian Idol, I loved Pawandeep, Arunita and Shanmukhapriya voice and decided to create a musical series with the trio in an interesting avatar. The series will be shot in Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh."

While fans thought Sumona, who plays Bhoori in TKSS, has not been approached for TKSS this time, Sumona rested all speculations by sharing a picture from her vanity van and confirming her return through a promo. Even actress Rochelle Rao, who is seen as Lottery in the show, is happy to be returning to TKSS. She told TOI, "Yes I am returning back to comedy which is a space I love. Making people laugh isn't easy but I love it and the show feels like I'm returning back to family. I also feel that getting a chance to put a smile onto people's faces during these unsure times is something I am definitely looking forward to, because eventually happy moments and a good laugh is what we all need right now."

Bigg Boss house witnessed its first fight between Zeeshan Khan and Pratik Sehajpal as they pushed each other. This happened during a task when Zeeshan interrupted Prateek and the latter ended up calling him 'Kele' and 'Pappu'. They even splashed ink on each other during their tiff.

Gauahar Khan's mother-in-law, Farzana, is admitted to a hospital. Her husband Zaid Darbar informed fans in a post, "Hello everybody! My mom is in the hospital but I want y’all to know that it is nothing serious anymore and she is fine. After months of battling with Covid-19 at a hospital, Aniruddh Dave took his first dose of vaccination. The actor shared this in a post and talked about the importance of getting vaccinated. Recently, Bigg Boss fame Arshi Khan opened up about how people often get confused about her citizenship. She clarified, "I'm an Afghani Pathan, and my family belongs to the Yusuf Zaheer Pathan ethnic group. My grandfather had migrated from Afghanistan and was a jailer in Bhopal. In a surprising turn of events, Shilpa Shetty, who had taken a break from her dance show Super Dancer 4 post the arrest of her husband Raj Kundrra in pornography case on July 19, returned to shoot for the upcoming episodes. A source had told TOI about her return and said, "Shilpa has judged the show since it started in its first season in 2016. The makers were waiting for her to return and did not want to get another celeb in her place. We are glad that she has resumed shooting. Hopefully, she will continue on the show till the end of this season. It was also an emotional decision for her to gather courage and get back to work after her husband got allegedly involved in the porn apps case. The makers are happy that Shilpa is back shooting today and they did not have to look for a replacement."

Urfi Javed became the first contestant to get eliminated from Bigg Boss OTT. Talking about it with ETimes TV, Urfi said, "I am still disappointed and angry. And I am not feeling good at being the first contestant to get eliminated from the show. Because when I came out and saw my clips, I had entertained a lot and gave my 100 percent. Rakhi Sawant yet again managed to grab headlines after she expressed her desire to appear in Bigg Boss OTT. She was later seen in a spiderman avatar outside the entrance of the BB house. She sat on strike and pleaded with Bigg Boss to let her enter the house. She reminded BB of his promise to invite her every year. She also posed for the paps and made some bizarre statements about stealing gold jewellery to enter the house.

Indian Idol 12 grand finale which took place on August 15 saw Pawandeep Rajan as the winner. After putting up a tough fight for several months, he managed to bag the trophy and a cash prize of Rs 25 lakhs. Talking about his final moments on stage, the singer said, "Yes, my family was here. A few of my friends also visited and they all were happy and excited. My mom was crying as I lifted the trophy."
