Sudha Chandran once earned Rs 3,000 a day on Kaahin Kissii Roz; Now charges Rs 3 lakh; says 'I bought my house with that money'
Seasoned actress Sudha Chandran, who is popularly known for playing negative roles on the small screen and has been a part of successful shows like Prratima, Kaahin Kissii Roz, Naagin, Doree, recently spoke about how television changed her life.
In an interview with HindiRush, the veteran actress spoke about her long association with Balaji Telefilms and recalled working on popular shows like Kaahin Kissii Roz, K Street Pali Hill, and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi under the banner.
During the Podcast interview, Sudha was asked about working with Balaji Telefilms, She shared, "I got married around the same time I signed the show, and people were convinced that I would get divorced because they said I would never get time to go home. I got a lot of support from my husband, who told me to hold on to this opportunity, and for 8 years straight, I worked day and night. But it was fun, because you were earning fame and money. The money I am making today from television is because of those characters that I played.”
In the interview, Sudha recalled the payment she received for the show, She said, “Let me tell you, when I started working as Ramola Sikand, I used to charge Rs 3,000 per day. Today, I charge 100 times that. It’s not about money; it’s about the fame and respect you have earned because of that money… The dreams you could fulfil because of that money. That is the biggest thing of all, and even though my father had a house in Mumbai, I was able to buy a house for myself with that money.”
Sudha Chandran, who has been in the industry for nearly three decades, is currently seen in Noyontara.
