Sunil Grover to return to TV with 'Kanpur Wale Khuranas'; a look at some of his most famous comic characters

Sunil Grover is known for playing characters that bring laughter galore. It is due to Comedy Nights With Kapil, The Kapil Sharma Show and other music videos that his comic talent became known to the world. Considering he is returning to the small screen after a hiatus with 'Kanpur Wale Khuranas', here's looking at some of the most famous characters he has created on screen and otherwise:

2/8

Rinku Bhabhi

Rinku Bhabhi on The Kapil Sharma Show had the most fun expressions on her face. Not just on the show but Sunil also used the character in one of his music videos. The tagline of it was, "Mere husband mujhko pyaar nahi karte." Touching upon the woes of several married women who have such claims to make, the video, which came out last year, was hilarious to watch. (Photo: Instagram)

Dr Mashoor Gulati

Mashoor Gulati is one pseudo doctor that everyone loved to watch on screen. Sunil played it to perfection in The Kapil Sharma Show. His twisted solutions to grave medical problems caused laughter in abundance and left the audience in splits. (Photo: Instagram)

Billa Sharabi

In another music video, Sunil was seen playing Billa Sharabi, and talking about the after effects of drinking. Sunil's speciality is the looks he creates for various characters and this one was a winner as it saw him in rugged clothes, wearing a khakee trouser, rough shoes and a red sweater. Gutthi

Playing a cross-dressed woman, Sunil won everyone's heart with Gutthi on Comedy Nights With Kapil. His antics on the show and the way he styled himself made the character an iconic one on the small screen.

6/8

Piddu Singh

On The Kapil Sharma Show, Sunil created the character of Piddu Singh, a spoof on Navjot Singh Sidhu. He played the role in a charming and funny way. The comedian dressed up like Navjot Singh and played the part well.

7/8

Jaanu Malik

Not just Navjot Singh Sidhu, Sunil did not even spare Anu Malik when he appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show. Sunil turned into Jaanu Malik and made the music composer laugh out lou.

8/8

Suman Hooda

Sunil's cross-gender story doesn't just end with Rinku Bhabhi or Gutthi. He has also played a Haryanvi policewoman, Suman Hooda on The Kapil Sharma Show. Flirty and hilarious, Sunil as Suman was a treat to the viewers.
