Tejasswi Prakash recalls watching Karan Kundrra’s show ‘Love School’; says, “I found him interesting but…”
Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash have been winning hearts since their new show Desi Bling released on a popular OTT platform. The couple finally got engaged, and fans congratulated them. Karan and Tejasswi recently appeared on a podcast with Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi, where they opened up about their relationship, bond, and much more.
Karan shared his journey in the industry and his small-town background. Moreover, Tejasswi mentioned how she had watched Karan Kundrra’s popular show Love School, which he hosted with his ex-girlfriend. Speaking to Neha and Angad Bedi, Karan Kundrra shared, “It was very adventurous. Jalandhar is a very small town compared to Mumbai and Delhi. In small towns, life is simple. We are 90s kids and were not exposed to much. The entry of the internet changed it all.”
He further added, “I was running a call centre and working with my dad. One day, I sent a friend request to Ekta Kapoor on Facebook in 2008, and she replied saying, ‘Come to Mumbai.’”
Talking about Karan’s debut, Tejasswi said, “I think I was in school during that time. It’s funny because I had not watched any of his shows except Love School. I found Karan interesting, but he is completely opposite to the kind of guys I thought I would ever date. To begin with, I had never dated actors before. I don’t like dating at my workplace; I like being professional.”
The couple have now gotten engaged on the show Desi Bling. Karan went down on one knee and said, “Jab hum mile the, toh bohot kuch hua tha… Jab hum bahar aaye, sab ne kaha tha ki yeh toh 2 hafte nahi tikenge. Kisi ne kaha tha main fake hu; kisi ne kaha tu fake hai. It’s been four years; we’ve seen everything, and we’ve been through everything.”
Karan further added, “‘Imperfectly perfect love story’, yeh tune hi term diya tha. Every year that I spent with you has changed the meaning of love for me. I never thought I would ever fall in love or commit. I want to thank you for bringing out the man in me, the man who has the guts to say, ‘This is it. It’s now and forever.’”
