The 50: Rajat Dalal suffers tendon tear while shooting; finally undergoes surgery after completing the show
Rajat Dalal, who returned to reality show space with 'The 50' suffered an injury during the premiere episode of the show. However, he continued to be a part of the show despite the injury and also performed several tasks. However, now that the shooting of the reality show is over, Rajat finally underwent a tendon surgery. The reality star took to his social media account to inform fans about his surgery.
Sharing photos from the hospital along with his medical report, Rajat Dalal told fans that the surgery went well and he is now recovering. In the photo, Rajat can be seen lying on the hospital bed. He captioned the post as, “Gir girke hi insaan uthna seekhta hai!" As soon as Rajat shared the post, it went viral on social media and many of his fans, followers and well wishers, flooded the comments section asking about his condition.
Rajat later posted a video from the hospital along with his MRI report to explain the situation. He shared what really happened during the show. The report showed a serious injury to his right elbow. It stated: “Full thickness tear of the tendinous component of lateral fibers of triceps tendon with approximately 3 cm retracting of the torn fibers."
He revealed in the video that he suffered the injury on the premiere episode the show while performing a task. However, despite the pain, he did not quit the show and performed all the tasks. He even stated that he decided to finish the show 'The 50' first and then opt for surgery.
“Sab puch rahe hain ki hua kya hai. The 50 ke pehle din ke shoot pe mere ko tendon tear ho gaya tha, thick tear tha, 2.8 cm ka. Jo baad me ek task jab maine perform kara usme badh ke 3 cm ho gaya," he shared.
Rajat also shared that the doctors had recommended him surgery, but he decided to complete the show first due to his commitment to the project. “Par show ki commitment thi aur mera man bhi nahi tha chorne ka…to pehle show complete kara aur ab finally mere ko jis doctor se surgery karani thi waha date mili," Rajat said.
He further informed fans that he is doing fine and the surgery went well. He said, “Aaj woh surgery hui hai aur acchi hui hai."
