The Great Indian Kapil Show 4: AP Dhillon on casting Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt in 'Old Money'; reveals Salman agreed for the song on a call'

The Great Indian Kapil Show season 4 has welcomed some of the biggest names from Bollywood, Music and sports. The season 4 which opened with global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas as the first guest, welcomed another icon AP Dhillon and comedian Anubhav Bassi in the latest episode. The singing sensation started the show with the first-ever performance of his brand-new track, “Thinking of You.” The singer performed the song for the first time ever on The Great Indian Kapil Show.

As AP Dhillon took a seat and chatted about his journey in the music industry and life, host Kapil Sharma asked him about his song 'Old Money'. He quizzed the singer how he managed to bring two of the biggest Bollywood superstars Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan together in a song.




AP Dhillon shares, "I really love old-school Bollywood action. I always wanted to do something in that style. And there are only two actors who truly fit that gangster action vibe. So I picked up the phone, called bhai (Salman Khan), and said, "I have an idea for a video, would you like to hear it?" He said, "Just tell me when you want to shoot. I don't need to hear the idea. I said, okay."

For the uninitiated, AP Dhillon released the track, ‘Old Money,’ in 2024. The song showcased a star-studded lineup including Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and Shinda Kahlon.

During the episode, Kapil also joked about concerts and revealed that the ticket prices were close to Rs 6 lakhs. He shared how many from the audience lost their phones and wallets. Kapil cracks a hilarious punch “AP stage pe apna talent dikha rahe the… aur log audience mein apna talent.”

AP Dhillon also joins in and adds, "Usne 6 lakh diye hain pura toh karna hai na.." Everyone burst out laughing.
