These child artistes are now top stars in showbiz

They started as cute kids on the small screen many years ago and now, as grown-ups, they’ve made a mark for themselves in showbiz. From playing lead roles to dominating the social media scene, these youngsters are acing the game. Here’s looking at their impressive trajectory...

After having worked as a child artiste in advertisements, Siddharth landed a role in the Aamir Khan-starrer Dhoom 3. Thereafter, he featured in many TV shows like Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Maha Kumbh and eventually, played a grown up in Aladdin- Naam to Suna Hoga. Last year, he was also seen in Salman Khan’s film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

The actress started her career at the age of five with Jhansi Ki Rani and in recent years, has been seen in TV shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Patiala Babes. Popular on social media, Ashnoor wants to try her luck in different mediums.

Jannat is among the top social media celebs today. She started her acting career at the age of seven with Phulwa, and was also seen in Kashi. A few years later, she played the lead in Tu Aashiqui. Currently, she is trying her luck in films.

Avneet participated in the dance reality show Dance India Dance Li’l Masters at the age of eight. She continued her showbiz journey and was later seen in shows such as Chandra Nandini, Aladdin-Naam To Suna Hoga and films like Mardaani and Tiku Weds Sheru. Along with being active on social media, the actress is focussing on OTT and movies.

Avika became a household name after playing the role of young Anandi in Balika Vadhu. Her transition from a child artiste to a grown-up was quick; at just 14, she played a married woman in Sasural Simar Ka. After taking a break from
TV, she got into films.

Faisal, who’s father was an auto rickshaw driver, came to Mumbai as a kid to participate in Dance India Dance Li’l Masters 2 won the show. He then got into acting and was a part of TV shows like Maharana Pratap, Chandragupta Maurya and Dharm Yoddha Garud. Currently, he is busy with music videos and web shows.

Anushka, who is enjoying being a part of Korean shows today, started her career as a child artiste with the TV show Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, after which she went on to do Jhansi Ki Rani. As a grown-up, she was seen in the Baalveer. She has now also ventured into the OTT space.

Best known for her portrayal as the young Jhansi ki Rani, Ulka returned to the small screen as a grown-up with Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev and has since then played the lead in shows like Banni Chow Home Delivery and Main Hoon Saath Tere.

Kinshuk, who became popular as a child artiste with Shakalaka Boom Boom, returned to TV with Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka a few years later. In recent times, he was seen in the TV show Karn Sangini.
