In a world full of successful stories of the entertainment industry, there comes an unheard-of story of an artist who faced financial difficulties. After he was made to fit in a stereotypical box, the burnout eventually caused him to leave his television roles at the peak of his career. Taking over the mic, Vivaan Bhathena chronicled his life, which has been no less than a rollercoaster ride.

Vivaan Bhathena recalls the exhausting days

Bhathena recalled how things changed for him after he left the television shows in a podcast interview with Digital Commentary. Reflecting on getting stereotyped roles, the ‘120 Bahadur’ actor said that he faced financial struggles and had a rough time managing food. “I used to get all NRI roles. But nobody would believe I didn’t even have the money to pay for food. We used to put it together somehow. I wouldn’t say we were very poor, but we were literally just borderline making it happen,” he said during the conversation.

After taking the role as VJ to fulfill the basic needs, Vivaan realised that his decision was more due to creative exhaustion than impulsivity. “I got a little bored of TV. I kept doing the same thing for seven to eight years,” he said. Moreover, he had to manage two soap operas at the same time, taking a lot of mental and physical toll on his body.
“It took an incredible toll on my health. But I needed that. I had to settle myself in life. I was married. I had domestic responsibilities," Vivaan said.

The success flourishes

Taking over the success with pride, Bhathena now owns two luxurious apartments in Bandra because of his roles on TV. Recently, he starred alongside Farhan Akhtar in the film ‘120 Bahadur.’ Bhathena has also featured in various films, including ‘Judwaa 2,’ ‘Karthik Calling Karthik,’ and more.
