When Smriti Irani jokingly blamed Karan Johar’s gift hampers for her weight: ‘Notice how slim yours truly was’
Smriti Irani, the ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ star, has the wit up her sleeves – and certainly doesn’t hesitate to use it when needed. The 49-year-old actress took her fans back in 2005 with just a throwback picture with smiles, charm, and vibe.
In a throwback picture shared by Irani in 2020, the actress calmly posed on the famed ‘Koffee With Karan’ sofa, smiling alongside the fellow guest Sakshi Tanwar and the host Karan Johar. Posting the picture with a dash of wit, Smriti wrote, “POUT MIA alert Throwback to a time @karanjohar smiled in photos taken ... P.S—- notice how slim yours truly was ♀️totally blame the damn hampers for the weight gain #tbt ❤️” Pointing all the fingers at Johar, she blamed the hampers for her weight fluctuations. Moreover, she asked her followers to pay attention to the time when Johar famously smiled for the pictures, and did not pout.
In the 2005 picture, Irani wore a sheer purple saree with a blue border and a stunning blue blouse, along with minimalist Y2K make-up and a wide smile. As for Tanwar, she wore a peacock blue saree with a matching blouse, accessorizing with diamond earrings, a ring, and bangles. Meanwhile, Johar donned a light blue suit with a white shirt.
