Bhavish Gowda open up about the reason behind exiting Lakshmi Nivasa
Popular Kannada television serial Lakshmi Nivasa has already witnessed several cast changes for different reasons over time. One such change that caught viewers’ attention was the replacement of the character Vishva, Jahnavi’s close friend.
Actor Bhavish Gowda, who won hearts with his performance as Vishva, had exited the serial abruptly. Following his departure, Nakul Sharma, known for Sreerastu Shubhamastu, stepped into the role.
When Bhavish Gowda initially left the show, fans were curious about the reason behind his sudden exit. At the time, the actor had clarified that there were no payment-related issues or conflicts with the production team. He had stated that he quit the serial mainly because he was getting fewer call sheets.
However, in a recent interview with Asianet Suvarna News, Bhavish has now revealed the actual reason behind his decision.
The actor shared that while working on Lakshmi Nivasa, he had participated in a season of the reality show Mahanati. During the show, he performed a famous dialogue from Mungaru Male featuring Ganesh. Bhavish said producer Sakkarebail Srinivas apparently liked his performance very much, though he did not mention it then.
Bhavish further revealed that he had auditioned for two to three projects on Colors Kannada earlier, but none of them worked out. Later, he received an offer for the serial Gandhada Gudi.
Initially hesitant after learning about the channel, the actor eventually attended the audition after repeated requests from the team. The very next day, the producer informed him that he had been selected for the show.
However, Bhavish was already committed to Lakshmi Nivasa at that time. He reportedly tried to balance both serials, but managing the schedules became difficult. According to the actor, the makers of Gandhada Gudi offered him a lead role and informed him that he would have to leave the Zee Kannada serial if he accepted the project.
Bhavish Gowda said he informed the team of Zee Kannada in advance before stepping away from the show. Calling the lead role in Gandhada Gudi a “promotion” in his career, the actor said that was the reason he chose to move on from Lakshmi Nivasa.
