​Kannada actors who hold engineering degrees

Several talented Kannada actors have engineering degrees, showcasing their versatility in both the world of cinema and academia. An engineer by profession but an actor by passion seems to be the mantra with these happening Kannada celebs. Having graduated as an engineer, these popular faces of Kannada television have followed their passion in being successful actors. Here is a list of a few of them.

​Sanjana Burli

One of the leading ladies of Puttakkana Makkalu, Sanjana Burli was still pursuing her Engineering in Medical Electronics when she started to shoot for the daily soap. However, the actress has now graduated with flying colors and holds an engineering degree as her education qualification. Just like her on-screen character, Sneha, Sanjana too aspires to become an IAS officer in real life as well.

​Karthik Jayaram

Fondly known as JK, the actor obtained an engineering degree from a prestigious college with a specialization in civil engineering. He later pursued Masters in structural engineering and worked in Dubai as a structural engineer before moving back to Bangalore.

Puttakkana Makkalu's Kanti aka Dhanush has indeed turned out to be one of the mass actors on the small screens.
