Evicted contestant Chythrra Hallikere

Actress Chythrra Hallikere, who was considered as one of the front-runners to emerge victorious and proceed to Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9, is the latest candidate to get evicted. Chythrra got evicted in the recent weekend episode despite having a successful stint in the reality show. Although her eviction was a shocker, her journey inside the Bigg Boss house is definitely worth mentioning. In a heart-to-heart conversation with ETimes TV, Chythrra Hallikere opened up about her Bigg Boss Kannada OTT journey and much more. Excerpts...

Saying 'yes' to Bigg Boss Kannada OTT

When I was first approached for Bigg Boss Kannada, I did not know that it was for OTT season. Much later I got to know about it. But I felt, Bigg Boss is a very huge platform and it was the very first season of OTT. I just did not want to miss this opportunity.

There are, a lot of strategies that work inside the Bigg Boss house

I had a very good run in the show. I was confident and a tough contender as well. All said and done, probably there is a lot of strategies that work inside the Bigg Boss house. Maybe I failed in that aspect. I am very straightforward and I can never pretend to be what I am not. I just can't strategize anything like that. Also, I did not expect to come out this early. My eviction came in as a surprise not only for me but also for my co-contestants. It was indeed a shocking one.

I was physically much stronger than anybody else inside the Bigg Boss house

I signed up for Bigg Boss on Monday and on Friday I was inside the Bigg Boss house. So, there was not much of a preparation. My fitness level is very high. I am a marathon runner and work out without a miss. I am a very active person. I feel this was very evident there that I was physically much stronger than anybody else inside the Bigg Boss house. I guess it was evident.

One can never plan anything and get inside the Bigg Boss house

I had the most beautiful time of my life inside the Bigg Boss house. It is once in a lifetime opportunity. One can never plan anything and get inside the Bigg Boss house. You never know what holds you inside the glasshouse. Bigg Boss is a personality contest that shows how one would handle a particular situation. You are what you are in the reality show. I personally made good friends and had wonderful moments with them.

I had an individual connection with my co-contestants

I did share a good and healthy rapport with the housemates. I had an individual connection with my co-contestants inside the Bigg Boss house. My connection with them was very genuine and true. I don't know if it was the same from the other end as well. Probably, the only connection I did not have there was with Saniya. Other than that, it was a very friendly connection with the rest of the housemates.

Third week's captaincy task was like a game-changer

Anything you talk about more and frequently, gets amplified inside the Bigg Boss house. The third week's captaincy task was like a game-changer. That's when the contestants realised that I am also a tough contender. So, this is when I became a talk for my co-contestants. That's when they started discussing about me. They had assumed that I am playing a very safe game and is looking forward to be in the good books of others and all of that sort. I got to know about these talks three days before my eviction. Not just the game plan, that's when talks about me being lazy to engage with household chores also started. But, I was just doing my part of the work perfectly. It was portrayed the other way. I was voted and nominated for not engaging myself in other works. But, by the time I could react and sort it out, I was evicted.

It’s just one conversation about Saniya which went off track

Uday has been a very good friend from the day I entered the Bigg Boss house and is still a very good friend. It’s just one conversation about Saniya which went off track. That conversation actually started off as a normal chat between friends and turned out to be something else. I guess Uday just got carried away with the conversation and made a remark on Saniya that was not necessary. There is a very thin line between a fun banter turning out to be a disrespectful one. Especially, when it comes to character assassination of a girl, one should never cross that line. You cannot be projecting a person's character without opening up about the facts. But, when Uday said he had not made such remarks, I was the only person to authenticate what actually happened. I had given clarity about the entire incident when the situation demanded. There was a time that the housemates thought that I was brewing something with regard to this issue. But, luckily Sudeep sir on the weekend came and clarified everything.

She continued....

Not only inside the Bigg Boss house, but otherwise, also, I do not encourage anyone badmouthing about others. It is a complete no for me. Good, bad, ugly, I don't think anyone should create an opinion on anybody by talking about them. If they do, it shows an individual's character. If somebody is talking behind another person, it shows their personality. They are completely projecting themselves like that. I am nobody to judge anyone and will never do that.

10/11

My kids want me to prove I am the best

My kids are heaping praises on me. I derive my strength from them. My son has been my biggest support. But yes, he always wanted to me become the captain of Bigg Boss house for a week. He wanted me to win the show. But at the same time, my daughter is being too optimistic. She is there convincing her elder brother that mamma is the captain of their lives. She says that mamma is the captain of their house. So, it's a great gesture from both of them. My kids want me to re-enter the Bigg Boss house as a wild card entrant. They want me to prove I am the best.

What next?

Besides an actress, I am also a makeup artist. So, I have my profession there as well. Apart from this, let me see where the industry takes me. If I get any interesting script, I will be taking it up. Looking forward to a new beginning. That's it.
