Exclusive: "Now people recognise me more as Yashawini than Master Anand's wife," says the Nannamma Superstar winner mom

After eighteen weeks of continuous hardwork, competition and entertaining the viewers, mother-daughter duo Yashaswini Anand and Vanshika Anjani Kashyapa emerged as the ultimate winners of reality show Nannamma Superstar. While they are beaming the joy of their success, Yashaswini joined ETimes TV for a quick LIVE conversation on our Instagram handle and opened up about her journey from being popular celeb Master Anand's wife to creating her own identity. Nannamma Superstar is definitely a lifetime opportunity. Not just for me, but for the entire eleven contestants. I am sure we will all cherish every moment we spent with each other over the past four months. Every moment was a learning experience during the course of the reality show. And at the end of the season, I feel the trophy is the reward for all the hard work that went into the eighteen weeks of participating in Nannamma Superstar.

I have always accompanied Anand to his shows. I used to cheer him up and enjoy it But had never been a part of it ever. Nannamma Superstar is the first reality show I have ever participated. So, this has been a completely different experience for me. I have gained my own identity with my participation in Nannamma Superstar. People recognise me more as Yashaswini than Master Anand's wife.

Gaining recognition as a student during school and college days is different. But as time goes on, life changes accordingly. Post my marriage with Anand, I always had that conscious thought, whether I will only be recognised as his wife. But now, I feel, with Nannamma Superstar, I have got my own identity. Most of them would actually save my contact name as Master Anand's wife. Now, they are saving it with my own name. This has turned out to be a big change in my life.

None of us considered each other as contestants of reality show. We turned out to be good friends and everyone looked after each kid as their own. I guess this is the best thing about motherhood. We still hang out together. We have all become best friends and share a great bond with one another.

The judges were very encouraging. They were even supportive and stood by our thick and thin situations during the reality show. Not just the judges, even Anupama had been a great host. She bonded really well with the kids and gave them that comfortable space to open up and be themselves. The crew members of the reality show were also equally supportive.

It's a surreal feeling looking at how Vanshika has turned out to be everyone's favorite. Her nature itself is like that. She spreads joy everywhere she is. That's how she has always been. She is a little like me. Both my kids believe in living in the moment. They are very truthful and believe in it. They can never think of hurting anyone and just want to spread happiness. As parents, I and Anand are very proud of our kids.

Likewise, we would never want to get our kids to get carried away by celebrity status. We are very cautious with that. There are times when we get very strict with them. We need to get a little harsh to get them back on track. The moment we get to know they are going overboard, we look into the situation and school them accordingly. I guess that's got to do with parenting.

My son missed me for four months as I was juggling between shoots. He actually felt like it was four years. But his excitement had no limits when we lifted the winning trophy. He felt the moment was worth all the missing he faced during the course of the reality show. In fact, he even told me that my hard work and everything is worth the winning title. Being a eleven year old, my son also stood by me and supported me throughout the Nannamma Superstar journey irrespective of his priorities. I am really proud of him.

Vanshika will yet again be seen in a new reality. She is also one of the contestants in Gicchi Gili Gili. Vanshika is too busy these days. She has been shooting continuously off late. Even today, she shot for the promo of Gicchi Gili Gili in the morning. She even shot for the premiere episode recently. Besides this, Vanshika has also been attending frequent interviews as well. She is enjoying this phase and we, myself, and Anand are supporting her in everything she wishes to do.
