The death of the Kannada film industry's 'Powerstar' Puneeth Rajkumar has shrouded the entire film industry in a pall of gloom. Many celebrities from the industry paid tributes to Puneeth Rajkumar who passed away at the relatively young age of 46. From Akul Balaji to Swetha Chengappa and many others, everyone mourned the shocking demise of Puneeth Rajkumar.

Vaishnavi Gowda recently took fashion inspiration from the late actress Kalpana. The actress replicated Kalpana's look from the popular song 'Indu Yenage Govinda' from Kannada superstar Rajkumar's 1974 film 'Eradu Kanasu'. Draped in a green-colored silk saree with a Pink zari border, Vaishnavi tried a flawless recreation of Kalpana's look from the song. From makeup to hairdo, the actress has given her best to replicate Kalpana's look from the song 'Indu Yenage Govinda' from Eradu Kanasu.

Kannada TV host and former Bigg Boss Kannada season 4 runner-up Kirik Keerthi, who has always been very vocal when it comes to his love for motherland and mother tongue, also celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava on a low key note.

On the occasion of Rajyotsava, Keerthi remembered late actor Puneeth Rajkumar, who recently passed away on October 29 at the age of 46 due to a cardiac arrest. Keerthi, in his video shared on Instagram mentioned, "Kannada Rajyotsava is being celebrated across our state today. It is supposed to be celebrated with loads of happiness and pride. But unfortunately, a dark spell has been cast over the state as we lost our beloved actor Puneeth Rajkumar. It is indeed a 'Raja illada Rajyotsava' (A Rajyotsava without the king)." (sic)

Shruti Naidu, who is often referred to as the Czarina of Kannada television took a stroll down the memory lane and shared a priceless throwback picture from her acting days. Shruti's fans responded to the post and questioned the actress about her acting comeback.

In an interview with ETimes TV, Prathama said, "There are many instances where I have come across many people coming to seek my blessings when I am in my Devi costume during the shoot. No matter how much I try to make them understand that I am only an artist, the immediate response I receive from them is that they respect the character I portray."
