Bigg Boss Malayalam 3: From lashing out at contestants to apologising on behalf of Manikuttan, Times when host Mohanlal wowed fans

Superstar Mohanlal became a household name for the Malayalam telly audience with Bigg Boss Malayalam. More than the past two seasons, the actor was seen much involved and charming in the current season. From lashing out at contestants for violating the rules of the show to apologising to a contestant on behalf of another participant, the actor had stolen the show with his anchoring stint. Here is a look at the best 'Lalettan moments' in the show.

In one of the initial weekend episodes, Mohanlal mocked Kidilam Firoz for throwing a leftover apple piece outside the house. Initially, when Firoz expressed his doubt whether he had done it, the host played the video of the same. Firoz, who was embarrassed after watching the video, apologised to the host.

In one of the weekend episodes, unlike the routine, the host entered the stage earlier saying that he will not continue the show until this issue is addressed. Mohanlal asked contestants Firoz Khan, Sajina and Michelle to stand up and asked them the reason for the same. When they hesitated to answer him, Mohanlal asserted that it is surely for breaking the rules of the show. He shouted at the trio for breaking his trust and revealing the things that happened outside the house.

"What was the deal we had? Don't you value my words, should I just stand like a monkey here? I don't need your sorry. If you don't respect my words, how will I respect you? You will have to take a punishment," the host lashed out at the trio. Further, the host punished them by nominating the trio straight to elimination.

In yet another episode, the host was seen warning contestants Firoz Khan and Anoop Krishnan, who were seen having a brawl in front of him.

The annoyed host told them, "Why am I standing here then. I will go, you guys continue the fight. Don't mess up with me, I have reached this point past all these. I know how to react to you mercilessly."

Mentioning Firoz' statement that he can't follow the rules of the house during a fight, Mohanlal said, "You said that you are not afraid of anyone, you can't obey the rules. If it is hard for you to follow the rules of the show, pack your bags and come to me. People started predicting that your next target will be this person and said that it's your game plan. Don't you dare mess up with me, I have all rights to make you pay for it."

As a punishment, Mohanlal gave masks to both Sajina and Firoz saying that it is to filter their words for 24 hours.

Host Mohanlal's surprise had left Anoop in happy tears. In one of the episodes, Anoop Krishnan was seen upset when inmate Bhagyalakshmi rejected his artwork. In the following weekend episode, the same artwork was seen in host Mohanlal's hand and the actor said that he will cherish it. Anoop was overwhelmed by the sweet gesture of the host. He fell on the floor and thanked the host.

In the Easter special episode, Mohanlal surprised the housemates by entering the house with special food for them. However, the host entered the house via the storeroom but left without meeting the contestants.

The host left the contestants and viewers stunned with his surprise entry in a weekly episode. In the episode, Mohanlal lashed out at contestants Sajina and Firoz Khan for disrespecting other contestants and later got them evicted from the house.

Host Mohanlal played a prank in one of the recent weekend episodes when he tricked Sandhya and Adoney into believing that they are evicted from the show. But, after an emotional farewell by their inmate, the host declared that it was a prank.

Regarding a verbal spat between contestants Sandhya Manoj and Manikuttan, the host apologised to Sandhya on behalf of Manikuttan and said, "I was upset to hear that comment from Manikuttan. Even now, I am not sure about his stand on this issue. So, being an artist myself or someone who represents a fraternity, I apologise to you."

Sandhya was emotionally touched by the superstar's gesture, and her eyes filled with tears.

Host Mohanlal gained laurels for his response to contestant Ramzan's act of throwing chappal. Saying it is 'unacceptable', Mohanlal asked Ramzan what he would do if Sai did the same to him. He also lashed out at Ramzan for not apologising to Sai.

Further, the host declared that Ramzan will be nominated going ahead as a punishment. He also asked him to write an apology note 14 times after taking a dip in the swimming pool. Notably, the host said that Ramzan can leave the house if he is not ready to take up the punishment.

In the recent episode, the host lashed out at Kidilam Firoz for his inappropriate comment on the physical condition of Dimpal. He also pointed out that the contestant has not only disappointed Dimpal but also a large community. The host emphasised that someone like Firoz doesn't have to feel sympathetic towards Dimpal but should have some empathy for her.

Further, Mohanlal gave a chance for Dimpal to make a decision on Kidilam Firoz' case. The host said she can decide whether the contestant should stay in the house or not.
