From falling in love during a TV show to their 14 year-long live-in relationship, revelations made by Abhaya Hiranmayi about beau Gopi Sundar in 'Parayam Nedam'
Singer Abhaya Hiranmayi was in the limelight after musician Gopi Sundar declared his relationship with singer Amritha Suresh. Abhaya, who was in a live-in relationship with Gopi for over a decade, has finally reacted to the situation on a TV show. The singer, who was seen as a guest in the recent episode of 'Parayam Nedam', made some shocking revelations on the show.
When the TV host fell in love with the musician
In the interaction with host MG Sreekumar, Abhaya opened up about her love story with musician Gopi Sundar.
"I met him for the first time during my engineering days. I was a host of the International Film Festival of Kerala, after that, I got a chance to host the celebrity show, 'Tharathinoppam', it was during that show that I met Gopi. Then, we fell in love," she said.

14 years of live-in relationship
"We were in a live-in relationship for almost 14 years. We wished to continue the same, till the time we feel like getting married. I was leading a typical family life with him, Gopi, our dogs, and our home, I was happy being a housewife then," she said.

'We outgrew for better'
When host MG Sreekumar asked about the reason for their separation, Abhaya made a statement about their relationship.
"Over the years everyone grew. Maybe we outgrew in certain ways. Many changes happened and some of the changes were not acceptable to others. I miss him, earlier my life was surrounded by him, but now I have a music career to focus on," she shared.

'I don't regret, I lived like a queen'
"I don't regret anything. When I look back, I am sure that I lived like a queen. He was the one who introduced me to professional music. I met a lot of legends. It is time to move on and focus on my career," she added.

'I don't believe in a conventional life'
During the interaction, host MG Sreekumar asked Abhaya's reactions to criticisms she has faced for her modeling stint and this was her reaction.
"I am not a conventional person. I love to express the way I am. I don't fake. So, this is my dressing style and I like it. I am a musician who adores Lady Gaga and Beyonce, I get inspired by their styles too. People will keep criticizing you, earlier society was against Salwars, now it is considered as the symbol of culture, attitude will change over time," she shared.
