Job Kurian remembers his Super Star days and says, 'I am married to the trophy I got from the show.'

Malayalam TV audiences still love the Superstar team. Even after two decades, singer Job Kurian, the dearest runner-up of the show, continues to mesmerize music lovers. This time, Job is winning hearts with his recent stage shows, where he was seen recollecting his Superstar days and cherishing the 'trophy' he got from the show.


In the viral video, Job introduces his wife, Athira, to the audience as she steps in to sing the much-loved song 'Kannodu Kannayidam.' In the video, Job says that she is a trophy he has received from the show.


"Thank you, God and everyone, for all the love. Ever since Super Star, you have been showering me with all the love. Here is the trophy I got from the show. Now, she is my manager, my all-in-all, and she is joining me for the song too," he said.


In yet another video, the singer shares that he had composed the song to impress his wife and adds that she is a better singer than him.

For the unversed, both Job Kurian and Athira were contestants of Super Star. Though Athira left the show midway, the duo ended up tying the knot.


"It has been years, and I still feel the warmth I received in the show, which was a game-changer for me. The show upgraded my life and made me a better musician. I'm happy with it. People loved me as Job from 'Super Star.' I loved it, and I didn't want to miss it," Job shared in an interview.




Job Kurian started his career as a contestant on Super Star in 2006. When Sangeeth lifted the trophy, Job emerged as the first runner-up. Soon after the show, Job kick-started his playback singing and sang his debut in the movie 'Goal.' Along with the movie songs, Job also enjoys a huge fan following for his independent music too. Music lovers love his songs Padayathra and Kannodu Kannayiram.
