Mounaragam goes off air, Naleef Gea pens an emotional note

The longest-running serial on Malayalam TV, Mounaragam, has finally gone off air after completing 1,700 episodes. Sharing an emotional note on Instagram, actor Naleef Gea, who played Kiran in the show, has bid goodbye to the character that changed his life.



"Eight years ago, a boy from the southern tip of the country came to Chennai chasing a dream with zero contacts, zero cinema knowledge, and honestly… no clue what he was doing. Just hope. There were rejections, struggles, self-doubt, financial problems… everything. On 13 December 2019, while waiting outside a Tamil serial set hoping for a small side role or a brother character, that boy got a call from an unknown person offering him a HERO role in a Malayalam serial. The boy immediately said NO because he was scared. He didn’t know the language, acting, the camera… literally nothing. But that unknown person believed in him when he couldn’t believe in himself. Today, out of 100 Malayalis, 95 know that boy as an actor. The person who changed that boy’s life is none other than my dear @rameshbabu8668 sir. Sometimes, God doesn’t directly come into our lives to change our destiny… He sends a person who silently becomes the reason behind our success, our strength, and our transformation. The man who saw an actor inside a frightened boy before anyone else did… the man who gave that boy a life, an identity, and a place in people’s hearts… is none other than my dear @rameshbabu8668 sir," Naleef poured his heart out about his mentor.



Further in the note, Naleef mentions missing playing Kiran again.



"Since yesterday, my throat has felt choked and my eyes have been filled with tears. Still, I haven’t been able to come out of that emotion. Somewhere inside me, it still feels like the project hasn’t ended… like I’ll be going for the next schedule tomorrow. But the reality is… I can’t live as Kiran anymore," he added.

For the unversed, Naleef started off his career with Mounaragam, playing Kiran. He became a sensation in Kerala, all thanks to his striking chemistry with actress Aishwarya Ramsai.
