Malayalam television dramas consistently captivate audiences with unexpected and dramatic twists. More recently, TV serial teams have shown a newfound interest in bringing in film stars for special appearances during special events in the serials. Asif Ali was seen as a guest in one of the special epiosdes in 'Geetha Govindam'. The actor made his entry in the birthday special episode of Govind's sister. National award winner Nanjiyamma made a cameo entry in the Pallavi Gowda starrer, 'Daya'. She played the character of an Adivasi leader who helped the lead characters in one of their hard times.

The favorite villain of Mollywood, Riyas Khan played a cameo in the popular show 'Kanyadanam'. He played the character Jagan, who came in resue for Ananthan, played by actor Devan, in one of his tough times.

Singer G Venugopal was seen playing a cameo in the show 'Shyamambaram' recently. The singer's hilarious interaction with the character Vismaya was much loved by fans.

Unni Mukundan recently made his first cameo entry in the newly launched show 'Muttathe Mulla'. In the teaser that surfaced online, the actor can be seen making a smashing entry to the wedding venue of Anandhu and Jyothi. As per the storyline, Unni has brought back the bride who went missing from the auditorium.

Veteran actress Geetha recently played a cameo in 'Parvathy'. She played the character Lalitha Devi in the newly launched show.
