KHC: From enrolling their children in Marathi medium school to talking about their first meeting, interesting revelations made by Sumeet Raghvan and Chinmayee

Marathi reality show Kon Honaar Crorepati recently welcomed actors Sumeet Raghvan and his wife Chinmayee Sumeet as special guests on the show. The duo made their first appearance on a reality show and spoke about various experiences on the show. They also made a few revelations and surprised their fans and viewers. Take a look.

When asked about their first meeting, the couple said that they first met on the set of a drama play. Chinmayee said, "I was playing the role of Jwalamukhi, and I met Sumeet there for the first time. We did not know each other. Later, I did the second play, and I was told that there would be a different actor than Sumeet opposite me, but later he played the pivotal role opposite me. Then things happened, and we got married in 1993, and then the rest is history."

Sumeet got overwhelmed while recalling his memories of Lata Mangeshkar and Balasaheb Thackeray. He said, "I was doing a play in the year 1990. There was entire Mangeshkar family, and along with them, Balasaheb Thackeray in the front row watching my play. Later, a person called me and said that people from the VIP room were calling me. I went there, and I saw Lata Mangeshkar ji. She praised me for my acting. Balasaheb Thackeray Saheb also gave me his haar (garland) that he was wearing. It was such a special moment for me as an actor."

The couple revealed on the show that they enrolled their children in a Marathi-medium school. Sumeet said, "I think people who are living in Maharashtra should enroll their kids in Marathi school. People often enroll their kids in English-medium schools so that it will help them for further studies, but it is not like that. I think kids should not get confused and stressed whenever they go to school, college, or home because of the language difference. Our mother tongue is Marathi. I even see nowadays that kids from nursery school go to tuitions. My kids never went to any tuition classes. They are happy while studying without any stress."

Sumeet told host Sachin Khedekar about his kids' love for school. He said, "My children said thank you to me once for enrolling them in Marathi school. He says that his school teachers are always happy and always make him laugh in their classes."

When asked about one thing he likes about his wife, Sumeet said, "I sometimes do like that she loves everyone unconditionally. It is also the reason I love and hate her. When asked by Chinmayee about Sumeet, she said, "Sumeet is perfect for me. He is a very balanced person. He thinks so quickly, and understands really well."

Veteran actor Dr Shriram Lagoo was impressed with Sumeet's acting. Sumeet said, "I played the role of Shriram Lagoo in the film Ani Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar. I watched the entire film with him in the theater. He was behind me in the theater, and I was constantly looking back at him. He saw me in a scene and said, 'This is me', I became happy and felt like I had everything."
