KHC Karmaveer special: Adhik Kadam on his welfare work for Kashmiri women, children and spending a night at a terrorist's house

In the recent episode of Kon Honar Crorepati, philanthropist Adhik Kadam appeared on the show's Karmaveer special segment. Adhik Kadam, who is working for the welfare of Kashmiris and Kashmiri women, decided to donate his winning amount to his foundation where he helps the Kashmiris with various issues. In the special episode, Adhik spoke about his experience with terrorists, the life in Kashmir, the Indian army, and more

Kashmiri women and children's welfare

Talking about how he decided to start his welfare, Adhik said, "I have seen many killings in Kashmir. Whenever I see a terrorist in front of me I always feel that how he became one and I want to know more about him and want to make him come back to his roots, that's how I started the foundation and decided to be with the Kashmiris".

Spent a night at the terrorist house and their emotional side

Adhik further revealed a shocking experience of his life and said that he had once spent an entire night in one of the households on the India-Pakistan border and realized in the morning that it was a house of a terrorist. Adhik said, "There is a Dardpora village in Kashmir. The village was on the top of the mountain of the Indo-Pak border and I went there for a survey but due to the extremely cold weather I was not feeling well and had the serious flu. I found one household on the mountain and they gave me shelter for a night. I was feeling really ill and lying on the bed and trying to sleep. Later, one person came into the house and sat beside me. He checked my forehead and was rolling his hand on my head. I felt an emotional touch and opened my eyes and saw the person. He had a long beard and one hand on my head and another one on his AK47. I don't know what happened later but the next day I woke up and asked a person who was that last night? He said, "sir aapka naseeb toh bauhat acha hai..wo toh mujahid tha...wo aaye the aur humne unko bataya ki ek mehmaan hai, soya hai aur beemar hai. Unhone aapko dekha aur humein kaha ki khayal rakhna iska, pani ki pattiya lagana warna marr jayega ye."

4/7

Its hard to live in Kashmir

Kashmir is not just about scenery. People should also know about the Kashmiris and their survival. It's hard to live there when there are 2ft of snow. I know they have different thoughts but people should understand them and their feelings by providing them with medical and education facilities and providing them basic needs.

5/7

Indian Army is the ultimate protector of Kashmir

The Indian Army is a protector of Jammu and Kashmir. Only because of the efforts and hard work of the Indian Army, we can go to Kashmir and travel with our kids and family. There are ultimate protectors.

"There were 7 women whose marriages shocked me"

I helped 167 orphan Kashmiri women to get married. There were 7 women whose marriages shocked me. Those 7 women got married and later we realized that the women's husband or relative is on the wrong path. Those 7 Kashmiri women would talk to their families and counsel them and I am so proud to say that those women helped them to leave the path of terrorism and their men are back to their homes leaving everything behind.

Kashmiri orphan became a doctor

I help Kashmiri orphans to educate and flourish in their careers. There was a four-year-old girl and her mother and father were shot down in Kashmir in front of her by terrorists. She tried a lot to save them but nothing happened. She later studied and graduated and now she is a doctor and helping other orphan children. I am so proud of her.
