Marathi film and TV art director Raju Sapte died by suicide on July 3, 2021, at his residence in Pune. Before taking the drastic step, Raju reportedly wrote a suicide note and shot a video explaining how a person from Labour Union harassed him. Raju also told in the video that he is not getting work due to the person who allegedly infuriated others against him. Raju's sudden demise shocked the entire Marathi industry and left them in grief.

Bigg Boss Marathi 2 fame and actress Heena Panchal got arrested on June 27 in Igatpuri after Nashik police busted a rave party. Twenty- wo others, including Heena and 11 other women, were also arrested, and drug was reportedly seized from their possession. The actress was also produced in a session court and got bail recently.

Aai Mazi Kalubai TV show has been in the headlines since its launch. The lead actress of the show and producer, Alka Kubal axed actress Prajakta Gaikwad alleging her arrogant behavior with the crew. Veena Jagtap replaced Prajakta Gaikwad, and she too left the show midway. Later, Rashmi Anpat replaced Veena Jagtap, and the show went off-air after that. Sneha filed the complaint to the Pune police station, alleging that Aniket and his family assaulted her in the house and tried to choke her to death. Actress Swati Bhadave filed an FIR against Marathi show Sahakutumb Sahaparivar's production controller Swapnil Lokhande (Bunty). Swati made shocking allegations against Swapnil, describing it as a never-before experience in her career. Swati said, "Production controller Swapnil Lokhande (Bunty) asked me for my number. He later asked me whether I am flexible about working in Pune or not. I said yes, I am flexible and can work anywhere. Then he asked me to give him something that he needed. I told him I would give him the commission. But he said he wanted something else. He said he wants to make a physical relationship with me (get intimate with me), and he will get more more work for me if I agree. I was shocked."

Actress Annapurna Vitthal Bhairi who played Surya's mother's character in the Marathi TV show Sahakutumb Sahaparivar filed a complaint against the show director and the co-artists for mentally abusing her and mocking her on the set. Annapurna also broke down while sharing the incidents and blamed the show makers for allegedly ragging her. Annapurna blamed Sahakutumb Sahaparivar actors also for provoking her to take a drastic step and end her life.

Kranti Redkar's husband Sameer Wankhede, a Narcotics Control Bureau's zonal director, was handling the probe against SRK's son Aryan Khan and others following a raid on the cruise earlier. Sameer made headlines after minister Nawab Malik blamed him for extortion along with other allegations. He also raised a few questions regarding Kranti and Sameer's wedding which the duo readily denied.
