Sulochana Didi, recognized for her contributions to both Marathi and Bollywood cinema, faced respiratory challenges, leading to her critical condition. ​Milind Safai​

Another loss struck on August 25 with the passing of veteran actor Milind Safai. After a battle with cancer, he breathed his last around 10:45 a.m. Milind, known for his impactful roles in Marathi cinema and television, played Madhurani Prabhulkar's on-screen father in "Aai Kuthe Kay Karte." His acting prowess extended to Hindi cinema, leaving an indelible mark. Films like "Premachi Josht," "Thank Vitthala," "Poster Boys," "Lockdown," and "Be Positive" showcased his versatility. ​Ravindra Mahajani​

The Marathi industry lost a stalwart on July 15 with the demise of veteran actor and filmmaker Ravindra Mahajani. He entertained audiences with superhit Marathi films from 1975 to 1990. He was found lifeless in his Pune residence. Living alone in Aambe village for the past eight months, his passing saddened many in the industry. Tributes poured in from fellow actors, expressing grief over the loss of a renowned talent who had left an indelible mark on Marathi cinema.

​Seema Deo​

Marathi and Hindi entertainment industries mourned the loss of actress Seema Deo on August 24. The 81-year-old actress, celebrated for her exceptional acting skills, had been a prominent figure in over 80 Hindi and Marathi films. Suffering from age-related issues and diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, Seema had been unwell for the past year. She resided in Bandra, Mumbai, with her son, Abhinay Dev, who is also a director in the entertainment industry.
