Fight with ex-husband for her children’s custody
Vanitha had clashes with her ex-husband Akash over the custody of their children. Following a long drawn custody dispute, the Madras High court declared that Vanitha and Akash both will have to split their time between the kids. However, their son Vijay Sri Hari grew up with grandfather Vijaykumar and is presently staying with dad Akash. Their daughter Jovika Vijaykumar stays with Vanitha.
Fight with Anand Rajan for daughter's custody

Police complaint by ex-husband
Anand Rajan filed a police complaint against Vanitha alleging that she had kidnapped Jaynitha. Following this, a team of Telangana police visited the sets of reality show ‘Bigg Boss Tamil season 3’ and enquired Vanitha as a part of the investigation. Later, Jaynitha gave a statement saying that she is staying with her mom Vanitha on her own will.
Dispute with parents over ancestral property
Vanitha had problems with her parents over their ancestral property near Maduravoyal in Chennai. Vijaykumar even took legal action against Vanitha. This episode strained her relationship with her family even further.
Strained relationship with family
