From Karthik Devaraj to Ganaa Poovaiyar: Former reality TV contestants who are shining in Tamil music industry

Tamil TV reality shows have always been the favourite destination for a talent hunt. These shows have contributed many talents to the entertainment industry. And the music industry isn't an exception. From singers to music directors, reality shows have gifted many talented personalities who made their presence felt. Here is a quick look at some former reality show contestants who are shining in the music industry.

One of the happening musicians, Karthik Devaraj, was the proud product of Mani’s band, which was part of the Super Singer reality show. A.R. Rahman was inspired by Karthik Devaraj's performance and became a part of his band too.

Maalavika has sung a number of cine songs, including a few hits like Karuppu Nerathazhagi from Komban, Gum Zaare from Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru. Maalavika was known as a Carnatic singer, until she broke the tag after she sang the hit number, "Dang Dang," under D Imman’s composition in Manam Kothi Paravai. Her popularity soared after the release of the song.

Singer Saicharan is becoming one of the favourite singers of music composers with his recent hits in the industry. The singer also started his career with the music show 'Super Singers'. Some of his cover songs with Malavika Sundar are still trending on social media.

Poovaiyar participated and became the second runner-up in Super Singer Junior 6. He sang a song in Natpe Thunai along with Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi. Poovaiyar sang the song "Verithanam" in the film "Bigil" with actor Vijay.

Rajalakshmi - Senthil Ganesh couple has become popular after winning the sixth season of the show. Senthil ended up as the winner of Super Singer, while Rajalakshmi was also a finalist. The couple is now busy delivering chartbusters.
