Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu is set to witness its first crorepati of the series in Telugu, 33-year-old Raja Ravindra. Ahead of the special moment, here's a quick look at a few lesser-known facts about the young Hyderabadi.
Hyderabad cop
Raja Ravindra is working as Sub Inspector of Police in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. He hails from Bhadradri Kothagudem district, Telangana, and is currently settled in Hyderabad.
Family
He is married to Sindhuja and is blessed with a son and daughter. He participated in the show upon the insistence of his wife Sindhuja.
Rare disease
His son battled Kawasaki syndrome, a rare disease that affects children below 5 years of age. His son's treatment was so expensive that he needed injections worth Rs. 70,000 each to be administered along with high dose of medicines.
Trained in Air Rifle shooting
Ravindra is trained in Air Rifle shooting and has even participated in the World Air Rifle Shooting competition in China as well. He claims to have appeared for the national level screening in 10m Air Rifle shooting as well. Raja Ravindra aspires to reach greater heights in rifle shooting.
Plans with prize money
Ravindra wishes to utilise the prize money to obtain further training in rifle shooting with international standards. He wants to donate a portion of his prize money towards the health and welfare of kids.
Wife's reaction after victory
While Raja Ravindra stands in sheer silence and disbelief after winning Rs. 1 crore on the show, host Jr NTR was visibly overwhelmed stating that he is the first host in the history of the Telugu TV series to sign the Rs. 1 crore cheque for a contestant. However, the most adorable moment is when Ravindra accredits his wife Sindhuja for reaching the hot seat while she says, "Bawa, I love you forever and ever". This evokes huge applause on the sets of the show.
